We came in today 12/20/2016 for Lunch for my parents anniversary. The server was extremely busy as she was the only server at the time and already had 5 tables - which normally wouldn't be an issue if she were helpful. She took all of our orders (There were a total of 5 people in our group, 4 adults 1 child) and asked me 2x how I wanted my rib eye, to which I replied medium rare 2x. We waited approximately 30 minutes from when we ordered to when we received the food, which was fine because in between we had an appetizer. Fast forward to when we received our salads. My mother did not realize that the dressing was under all of the salad. Another server came over and asked if everything was ok. He was sitting in the bar area with a woman who looked to be a manager who was also sitting at the bar. They noticed that I was looking for assistance, which is why he came over. I mentioned that it appeared that the dressing was not on the salad, which he in turn explained that it was under the actual salad. I apologized, as our server did not explain that to us. The issue is that the woman in the red hair also came over to listen to the conversation and started to laugh as the server who came over walked away and she said loudly, sarcastically, and using her hands, "that it's underneath". Nice attitude, I was always under the impression that if there's an issue or question and we as customers ask the question that we as customers don't get made fun of... When the food finally came my steak was over done, which is understandable since she was so busy that either the food sat awhile under the heat lamps, or it was just made incorrectly by the kitchen. Regardless, I brought it up to the server, who said they would remake the food. Which was fine, but it took 20 minutes for the corrected food to come out. The manager Kim, brought the food out and was unapologetic and basically acted inconvenienced by having to bring the food out. By then I asked for to go boxes, as we needed to leave. During this whole time the woman who was at the bar basically was staring at me, along with the other male server who also laughed when I asked about the salad dressing. The experience was...
Read moreBefore you read this review, I want you to know that this is not satire. As far fetched as it seems, this is 100% true and I swear that there is no fabrication whatsoever.
-Prologue- It was the year 2020. If I remember correctly, the month was September. It was the perfect temperature. I was a senior in highschool. To my surprise, I was nominated as the homecoming king. I wanted to ask a girl to join me and my friends to take part in Homecoming, so I messaged a woman on a google slide show that was shared with the whole class. She said yes. We had a fun time at the homecoming parade, then made way to Outback Steakhouse
-Chapter 1- We walk into the outback. We had a group of about 7-10 people. We made sure to call ahead, so the whole process was smooth. Everyone was nice, we were taken care of very well. I order a Salad, I wanted to eat light because I was feeling good about myself this night. The woman who joined my friends drank 11 waters, which was odd, but other than that we had a normal night.
-Chapter 2- We finish up and make way to the Eola Public Library. You might be asking, why am I telling you this part? Just keep on reading, you will see the correlation. My friends and I spend maybe 30 minutes talking and longboarding. It was fun. Usually, we spend a couple hours doing this. I told my friends I needed to leave, and by extension the new girl did too as I was her ride. I get her home and make it home a bit later. What I did not mention to anyone that night is that the Salad messed me up. I suffered from the sweatiest night of my life. I was holding in my poo so hard, I was sweating so much. I spent the next few minutes fighting for my life in the bathroom. Once I finished, I fell asleep. I needed a rest after what that salad did to me
-Epilogue- My initial review was 1/5 stars. The reasoning behind this is the diarrhea the salad gave me. I know it was the salad for a fact because this had happened two other times. I'm giving it a 3/5 because the staff was really friendly with us. They didn't even question the 11 waters the new girl downed in our sitting. I will be going again, but will always be cautious...
Read moreTook my son for his 10th birthday tonight (Tuesday 9/24) This is not my favorite place to eat (customs service here sucks and the food could use some help sometimes) BUT this is what my son chose for his birthday dinner. I had to take the time and leave a review because my waitress tonight was AMAZING!! She IS the reason we will be coming back in the future. Her customer service was outstanding! I went as far as finding out her schedule in hopes that she will be our server again when we return. I will definitely be requesting her and only her. She was SO kind, outgoing, very respectful! This girl knows her stuff!!! When I say stuff, she knew that menu, cuts of meat, gave her honest opinion of how we should have it cooked so we would have satisfaction in what we ordered!!! She literally went to the back just to check on how the cook was cooking my fiancés steak to ensure it’s how we ordered it?! 🤯 we never had to ask for refills or look for her because she stayed moving and near at all times in case we needed her! She greeted everyone the same and with so much joy and appreciation for her job! Good service is very hard to come by now in days! So over the young waitress with attitude, and that you order your food from and then never see again until your bill is ready but they want that $ tip? Rachel , B. we really appreciated your hospitality tonight, my son loved you and wanted me to thank you again for your service tonight, he was so happy to give you his tip personally! You are a great person and we will be coming back because of you! Outback this girl needs a $ raise! let her run a training program for you! Your recruiting team is doing you no favors until they brought Rachel to the Aurora team. Even the girls at the entrances, it’s like talking to walls no expression, no customer service… Almost makes you want to turn around and walk right back out! Rachael could teach EVERYONE there a little something TRUST ME! she is the reason we WILL be returning. Thank you Rachel, B and welcome to Illinois! ❤️ (we learned a little about...
