Bubbakoo's Burritos — Restaurant in Nashua

Bubbakoo's burritos feels like it belongs in a mall food court as a neat gimmick rather than a burrito spot. They offer a lot of variety on their menu, but the quality is completely average. The tortillas feel like the same type of flexy, chewy, long shelf life ones you'll find at Taco Bell, and their meat didn't have much flavor, but it wasn't bad. One item I liked a bit was the "Chiwawa Burrito" one of their unique gimmick items.

The staff was normal and respectful as you'd expect anywhere else, and the place was clean and well lit.

However, for the quality of the food, it's not much different from Chipotle which is a bit cheaper and down the road. If you want a slightly more expensive burrito made fresh that's local, Baja Tacos is also a minute away and certainly tastes better. Heck, if you want wings, their neighbor Bon Chon has that, too.

So why go here? I'm not sure. But my impression is that Bubbakoo's cares more about it's image as a "different," "skater/surfer," "hip and modern," burrito spot that it forgot that the has to be tasty, not just "unique."

As an aside, someone who I could only guess was the manager sat down a few tables from me and watched me eat my food, which was a bit weird. He seems to have wanted my opinion as he asked me after I stood up to leave (which is fine), but I wish he didn't watch me from another table.

All I have to say is wow. And not in a good way either! My wife and I decided to try it as it's new. I got the steak burrito, which was $11.49 and is a couple bucks more than any other local burrito place. When I got home with our order, I literally laughed at the burrito they made me. It's about half the size of any burrito I've had at any burrito place (see the attached photo). It was a joke. Not only do the burritos cost more, but you get half the amount. And to be honest, it really wasn't that good of a burrito. Definitely not worth the extra price. My wife got the Chiwawa. There was almost no meat on it and she said it didn't have much flavor. We also got some empanadas and they were just ok. Usually there's meat in an empanada, but they only had beans and cheese. We got a kid's meal for our son, and he ate what we would have expected him to, so I guess that was ok. We spent over $40 and it was not a good experience. I'd rather go to Chipotle, California Burritos or Baja Burritos honestly. I'd get better food and spend less money, and get...

It's everything you would expect from a burrito that you would get in a town dominated by basic white women. So far I've tried the quesarito. First, the ground beef is barely seasoned. The only thing it gets its flavor from is the cheese inside of the burrito. I tried the hamburger meat by itself and it's very plain and bland. Very disappointing. The rice I got was the white rice with cilantro. The rice is very wet and mushy. There should be a good medium between dried out rice and cooked rice and it is nowhere near it. Instead of making the quesarito with cheese around it like they're supposed to on the inside, all the cheese was clumped at the bottom of the burrito on one end. 100% white girl seasoned.
