Let me start by saying this is the absolute best pizza in Nashville. I make an effort to go once a week if possible. Was not real happy about the move from 16th Ave and now having to pay for parking but it’s just that good. That being said, I noticed the large pie shrinking slightly the last couple of visits but today was shocking. I asked the guy that brought it to the table and his best answer was that he didn’t know because he “just started a couple of days ago” and I didn’t press the issue. I always order a large and this was a medium at best. I will give it another try but if this wasn’t a fluke, I will definitely reconsider how often I’m willing to drive this far out of my way and pay a premium for less.
3 stars reflects overall value
Update for the Owner:
I appreciate the prompt response. I have been to the new location quite a few times and the size of pies has been unchanged until just the last few visits. I usually chat with the guy that appears to be the manager. Super nice but didn’t get a chance today.
Thanks again for responding.
Update 8/27/2024
Went again recently (I did mention this is the pizza in Nashville so I couldn’t stay away) and I’m guessing the shrinking pie issue may have been an error by the “new guy” mentioned in my original comment. The large this time was an actual large and all is right with the world again.. Switched to 5 stars where...
Read moreI will never be back to DeSano after being a loyal customer for years. I placed a to-go order over the phone, was told my total was $13.50 and of course plus tax. $15 on a Friday night for dinner is a win. I always get a receipt and when I got home after a long work day I looked at the receipt only to realize I was charge $3.60 tip that I did not approve. I immediately picked up the phone and called the restaurant and spoke to the manager and he told me if I didn’t tap the no tip and just signed then a tip is automatically added. WHAT? On what planet is that ok. That’s a scam and it’s really distasteful. There are plenty of amazing restaurants just steps away from DeSano like City House and 312 pizza that also have great pizza. I never received an I’m so sorry let me take care of this it was quite the opposite, the manager made me feel small, like he couldn’t believe I was calling about a $3.60 tip to be refunded to my card. My point is they took money from me that I did not approve and how many 100’s of people are they doing this to that have no clue. I’m bringing awareness because this is NOT right and I work way to hard for my money to just give it away, especially when I did not approve this charge. Disgusting...
Read moreHad an incredible experience with management that’s solidified my 5 star review and breakdown on one bite. I’d noticed inconsistency in my pick up orders and brought it to the attention of management, Maximiliano, who was overwhelmingly empathetic and communicative with me in addressing and resolving the issue. Truly inspiring customer service. The people making the pizza come with the talents of Naples (iykyk) and with that the kindness of excellent service and immaculate pizza (By New York/Naples standards alike) I wouldn’t go anywhere else in Nashville, you’ll be upset. Sincerely, your local pizza autist...
