Halestorm, In This Moment, Stitched Up Heart, and New Year's Day put on one Hell of a show. I bought tickets to this concert for me and my girlfriend, who unknowingly at the time was going to be asked to marry me that following Saturday, to be the start of a romantic vacation. She has limited mobility and I have a very busy knee, so accessability is critical for anywhere we go. When purchasing tickets I had to call the arena, ticket Master, and visit online in order to try and find accessable seating. I went thru all 3 over, and over, and over until I was sick of the whole routine, only to find out they had nonsuch seating. So I got 2 end seats close to the middle of the arena and just low enough we could make it to our seats without painful climbing. The seats were uncomfortable and where we were sitting, after explaining very clearly we needed seats easily accessible to limited mobility, was basically a cement dugout with seats on them. Another woman who was wheel chair bound was simply placed in the middle of the walkway simply because it was flat. They even sold some 50 seats that were blocked off so they gave them fold out chairs which they also put behind seats near the walkway. The people working the floors didn't hardly know much about the place on top of it all making asking questions and seeking assistance impractical. All in all the concert itself was outstanding, Lzzy and Maria put on One Hell of a performance. As for the actual arena itself, there are better places to waste your money on. Chuck-E-Cheese is looking better just...
Read moreAttended Ric Flair's Last Match on 7/31. It was a great night! This was my first visit to this the auditorium, great venue. I'd also like to thank the staff person that assisted me to my seat after the first guy decided he didn't want to help. I am visually impaired and navigating a dark or low light room/area is extremely difficult for me. Despite that, I tried but couldn't. So, I asked a member of the staff at the exit if he could assist me and explained why. He walked me over to the section, pointed to it and told me that's my area. I told him I still wouldn't be able to navigate my way to an available seat and he said he couldn't help me and walked. This situation sparked an anxiety attack and I know that may sound silly, but in these types of situations I feel so helpless because I genuinely can't see well enough. I finally made my way to the tunnel and back out to the main area. I found another member of the staff and he could see that I was distressed. I explained the issue and he assured me he would get me to a seat. He also asked if there was anything I needed to help ease my anxiety. He told me told hold his elbow and follow him. I offered to tip him for his much needed and much appreciated help, but he refused to let me and told me to enjoy the show. There are still some good...
Read moreThis is a nice venue. The people behind me talked through the opening act. I then put my hands behind my ears to signal I was trying to listen. The main performer comes out. They continue to talk through the performance. Why? Why even show up and talk through the performance. The people behind me were talking and the people beside my husband. At a concert, we had drove 3 1/2 hours to see, paid ridiculous Nashville on a Tuesday hotel prices, took 2 days off work and bought tickets for $200. All that effort for inconsiderate people to talk during a concert. I got up and told them I was going to get an usher to remove them for talking the whole concert. I then found a group of employees wearing black polo shirts who I discussed the matter with and they direced me to security in a yellow polo. He was going to come but I just said D3 won't stop talking and walked off. I should have waited on him to follow me back. I saw a light flash in our area. I don't know if it was him or not. The talkers beside my husband left. I don't know what a venue can do about basic human decency. But I will think twice before I purchase anymore concert tickets. People don't act this way at the Ryman. Maybe because it used to be a church and it still keeps all the...
