I was a GM for several years in the restaurant and service industry and this is THE most PATHETIC, INEXCUSABLE example of customer service of ANY restaurant I have ever had the (DIS)pleasure of visiting!! We “attempted” to dine there a few months ago and were told by the greeter “We are not seating anyone”. We asked why and he had no answer. We tried to request a manager but, to no avail. As we were getting in our car to leave, we CONTINUED to see people enter the establishment but, NOT come back out?!? Obviously if they were NOT “seating” anyone all of those folks would have left as well. We drove away extremely upset and we finally decided to call regarding the issue. We finally spoke with a manager who said she did not understand why we were told that and asked if we wanted to return. We told her we had already left, and as we live in KY, were not turning around to come back. She apologized and assured us that whenever we were able to return the problem would be corrected. She went as far as to say if she were not there simply mention her name and the problem would be resolved by any manager on duty. As previously stated we live in KY and we are not free to simply traipse up and down the highway to eat at specific restaurants at specific times. As well, one of us is a traveling nurse with a less than planned schedule. Today (Sunday, 11/19/23) we had a clear schedule that allowed for traveling to dine at the restaurant. We called ahead to ensure the trip would not be wasted, and thank goodness we did. Not only did we get the runaround about “code this” and “have no recollection of that” but, we were placed ON HOLD FOR 30 MINUTES!!!! After an exorbitant amount of patience we finally hung up and called back. The front desk individual listened to the situation, apologized, and said she would not place us on hold but, rather get a manager at that moment. When the manager came close to the phone, we could hear lots of conversation between the two before she finally spoke with us. We were then told “There is nothing I can do about it.” Not the plural “we” but, the singular “I”. She told us in the initial conversation that she could tell by our tone that we were not simply trying to take advantage of the system yet, there’s nothing she can do?? There is ALWAYS something a manager can do if they care about their patrons and true customer service. Yet, not only were we offered no resolution but, even as a courtesy nothing that would make us want to return! As I write this review I am desirous of any others out there who may read this that some may be in administration and hopefully learn enough from this that they will take the time to reflect on the true meaning behind...
Read moreOver the weekend, went in for a to go order. I sat there over 30 minutes waiting. Others that came in after me, received their stuff within minutes of ordering. Needless to say, the manager walked by me numerous of times, not a hello or is there something I can help you with.. NOTHING!! I asked how much longer? The hostess comes back with the kitchen is very busy excuse, so it will be another 10 MINUTES..Again, there is probably a handful of customers in the whole restaurant. If I was a betting person, I would be 99.9 percent sure that someone dropped the ball and the extra 10 minutes is gathering the order together. Oh, the best part of whole story 1) the order was placed prior to my arrival. 2) the manager and hostess ignored customers standing in front of them debating about a big table coming in at 6. It was not even 4:30. When I finally received the food, ice cream is bagged with hot items!! Are you kidding me?? This restaurant must only hire people who care less about customer service and must be able to stand in the corner of the kitchen opened for customers to witness gossiping. This whole establishment MUST be TRAINED in CUSTOMER SERVICE. Ohhhh..a customer came in and told the hostess last week I waited 30 minutes for bread pudding and I am giving you one last chance. The hostess acted like it was a bother of boredom or must deal with this often and became numb. Last but not least, a customer holding to go boxes asked for a bag, the hostess gave the customer a bag and continue talking to manager. The customer had to walk in the dining room find a table to set boxes on, tried to open plastic bag and bag it up himself. How pathetic and rude!! This is only what I saw in the 30 minutes plus sitting there, I can only imagine how the daily operations are handled. Pretty sure the free food or discounts are high percentage at this location. Great job 👍 on the...
Read moreOrdered from here for online pickup. Estimated time of food being ready was 20 minutes. I arrive 5 minutes after estimated readiness time, and not being sure of where to go for the pickup I went in the main entrance to ask. I was very rudely told by the young man behind the stand, that if I could read I could see that the pickup was on the side of the building. I told him there was no need for rudeness, because I did not know that, hence why I was asking. He made a shoeing motion with his hand indicating that I need to leave the lobby.
I brushed it off, and walked around to the side of the building and saw where I needed to go. So I get back in my vehicle, and moved it to the designated pickup and wait spot. I waited in the pickup to go spot for 20 minutes, before anyone ever came out to me.
The lady was very nice, she took my name and went to check on my order. I waited in the spot for another 30 minutes, without hearing anything. So I called the number, and told them I was out there waiting, and wanted to see when my order was going to be out there. I was told that it was being made at that moment, and should be ready in 15 more minutes. At this point it had already been over an hour and 15 minutes since I had placed the order, and this was on a week night.
To their credit, they did have the order out within 10 minutes from the phone call, the food was hot, and tasted good. I just feel that the ball was dropped and my order somewhere along the way. I might go in and visit them, but I definitely won't order for...
