If youre looking for a place that's like the 'old' Denny's used to be, I think i've found the place for you!
Where to begin? We walked in, and it took a few minutes to get seat. there was 5 other tables that had people seated at them....and about that many that were uncleared. AND THEY STAYED THAT WAY THE HOUR AND 10 MINUTES WE WERE THERE! To the left of us, there was a table that had stuff all over it. the booth behind us, glasses and such still there. To the right of me, right over the divider, was a table filled up with plates of half eaten food. Not the most pleasant thing to see. Plus what kind of animal leaves BACON on their plate? Freakin' savages!
The floor was unswept, and one table looked like they film a remake of the Food Fight scene from Animal House, just on a lower budget. A poor menu that was a victim of said fight laid forgotten on the floor, and never got picked up. We guess he lived there now, and had just accepted his fate.
My friend went to the bathroom, and while she was in there, there was another waitress in there, talking with what we think was a manager or supervisor, bitching and cussing up a storm about how much she hate this place and her job, and how she wanted to work at Walmart. She came out long after my friend did, with the supervisor/manger woman. Miss Hate My Job proceeded to wander around and work very hard at doing nothing. Our Waitress, Vicky wasnt too bad, per se. She was slow, and had no need to hustle to get anything done. But her, and everyone else there has the WORSE case of tunnel vision i've ever seen! She walked past us, and the unclear tables multiple times, and didnt touch a dish on any of them. But when two of the tables did leave she was right on them, TO SNAP UP THE TIPS! That was it. that's all she touched. There was a red head waiter, and he followed the supervisor/manger around, mainly whining to go home. When Vicky took our order, we were told there was no hamburger meat. Um...what? No ground beef on a Tuesday at 5pm? My friends mom commented on how cold the place felt to her. We theorized that was to keep the flies from swarming all over us because of the food hanging out. While Vicky played on her phone, Red wanted to leave, and Miss I Hate My Job, we found out there was only one guy working in back, doing it all by himself. And he's why I gave this 2 stars. Shawn the Cook was in back, cooking up a storm, and made some really good food. It came up hot and fast. He did a great job, and was pretty much the only good thing about this place.
When we were done, we said goodbye to Menu, and paid our bill, waving goodbye to all the food...
Read moreI ordered the Chicken Florentine Crepes, and found them to be very good. There wasn't much chicken in them, so if you are a meat eater, I wouldn't suggest them. My husband ordered pancakes, and got to the middle of the stack to find them uncooked in the center. He said it was like eating dough. The young girl had no clue how to be a waitress. She brought our menus and immediately asked if we were ready to order. Nope, not even close since it's been a while since we've been to IHOP. The cooks were very loud in the kitchen, messing around and cussing even with a manager on site. Besides us, there was only one other table. The waitress had no idea that she should refill an empty glass when it was placed toward the outside of the table (she had already walked past twice and saw my glass was empty at the beginning of our meal.) I had tea with lemon, and she finally asked if we needed anything (yes, more tea please, in a new glass that doesn't have tea leaves in it, please.) She brought it back, then asked if I wanted more lemon. Well, common sense would suggest that if I drink tea with lemon, used the lemon in my first glass, then yes, I would need more lemon. She then gave us our ticket without asking how everything was, or if we needed anything else. My husband sent his pancakes back when he flagged down another employee to ask for our waitress. (The other employee asked what he needed instead of getting our waitress.) The manager discounted our meal without talking to us, and our waitress brought the ticket back to the table and said she took care of it. My husband was livid because she didn't "do anything." We had to wait at the register for someone to come, and it was our waitress, who then didn't get a tip because of such poor service, and we had to ask for our receipt so my husband could submit a review to the store manager later. They are hiring, and have open interviews Wednesdays after 2 p.m. according to a sign in their window. If we didn't live so far away, I might apply. People would pay great tips for...
Read moreI would be willing to bet that this location is by far the WORSE out of their entire franchise; poorly operated with no systems in place and customer service - no such thing here...it doesn’t exist.
I got there around 11:45am. I was meeting my family there so I thought I’d get there early and put our names down because it was a Saturday and I knew there would be a wait. I was the second person standing in line to put my name down and there was no one at the hostess stand. The line started to form with more and more people behind me because there was no one to greet us. We watched employees walk past us over and over again and no one bothered to greet all the customers who were waiting in front of the hostess stand. After about 10 minutes, a manager came up to take down names. The lady in front of me decided not to stay, but wanted to politely share some feedback. She just stated that the least they could do was tell everyone how long the wait would be and take our names down. The manager condescendingly told her to “have a blessed day” in which her and another waitress snickered out about after the lady left.
After nearly an hour of waiting, we asked how much longer it would be and the manager told us that they would not seat anyone until the cleared the 4 remaining tickets left in the kitchen. So there was dining room full of empty tables and a full room of people in the entry way. We ended up leaving because they couldn’t give us an estimated time of when they could serve the people waiting. I’ve been in the restaurant and never in a million years have I seen the back of the house govern the front. Again...the current process (if you even want to call it that) is poorly designed. They need help...badly and I’d start off with the entire...
