Whataburger — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

I think the whataburger gods were mad at me because my son wanted chipotle so I got him one and let him bring it in watabees. I’m from the home of whataburger so any chance I get I go. I knew it was gonna suck when the guy in front of me with to go order came back in caus they messed up his order. Then the guy taking order didn’t know how to use computer very well, probably new. Didn’t give us cups, had to ask, again probably new. Dude gave us large which was cool, but again probably new. Daughter and bf didn’t get cups either, you guessed it probably new. No big deal, it happens. Got our food and no japs on chicken sand which, no ketchup. Had to go get both. It happens. My burg only had 2 pickles and they were some how soggy, how tf pickles get soggy, cheese was on bottom of patty and not even melted( feel like it wasn’t the normal cheese, but that government cheese) but burg was still good. Most people don’t know about ordering toasted buns, and let me say these bums were PERFECTLY toasted, dang near best I’ve ever seen (y’all ask for toasted buns next time, promise you won’t regret it). Daughter onion rings burnt and dude that brought order took it upon himself to get her new ones, said he didn’t like the look of them as he sat the tray down and offered her new ones (solid move) she also didn’t get her fries. O rings came and were slightly less burnt, plus they told her she had to wait 10 min for milk shake. NBD it happens. I had to use women’s bathroom caus I had to dook and men’s toilet was piled up with doo doo (I don’t blame them, I wouldn’t want to deal with that spooky dookie, I would have put an out of order sign and kept it moving). Fastest dook I ever took. But that white chocolate raspberry milkshake was good af, 10/10.

Staff was good, I feel like most were new, but they did seem to care and make everything right. Only second time I’ve been to this location, first time was right when it opened, being from Texas I had to go, it had been years since I’ve had waterburger (that’s what we call it back home iykyk) and it was awesome, like I remember it. Been to the Lebenan location a few times and always good, best one was after the cowboys beat the titans last year in Nashville and I stopped after leaving the game. I hope they keep expanding east and Cookeville gets one, I’ll quit my job and go work there just because whataburger is life. I’ll never give up on whatabees but I think Next time I’m gonna try out the one...

I come here a lot. I drive at least 30 minutes my friend and I have been on the phone going to separate Whataburger’s and we always have a great experience. Tonight was not the case. We decided to order and dine in since our other friend came from out of town and we were told the staffing was short and they couldn’t take our orders. My friends used the kiosk I used my app because I had rewards and there were a lot of ppl waiting to order. I placed my order before everyone selected dine in as the receipt shows at 10:36.. I expected at least 20 minutes but I told at least 2-3 ppl my name and that I was dining with the other two ppl that ordered after me. I was told it will be a moment and they got their food in 20 minutes.. when the man brought their food I asked about mine and was told it was on the way.. including my friends 7 people were served before me and I asked at least 4 times before asking for a refund. The manager came and asked me for my order and name I gave it to him and he handed me a bag after about 45 minutes of waiting. I asked why other were served before me and was smugly told there’s just me and one other person. I don’t know much about algebra but I know 1+ the two ppl I talked to plus the person rolling biscuits and the other ppl I saw on fries and in the back is not two. I was frustrated and wanted to cause a scene and curse him because I felt he was being condescending when he stated I’m sorry u had to wait a little longer when i had been sitting almost an hour. My friends were done.. I didn’t because it didn’t want to be an angry gay black man yelling at another gay black man on the first day of pride month. That’s not a good look and I’m better than that. So I decided to write and get my meal refunded because at that point I didn’t want it I haven’t touched it besides to make sure the order was correct but it looks horrible. I just want compensation and I will never order...

No, No, and NO. Whoever runs this franchise, shame on you. They should shut this place down, and if not, Corporate should come in and re-train every single person ASAP. AND I know for a fact the Health Inspector would have a field day here because there’s NO WAY that kitchen is clean or food is handled/stored properly.

I’ve been here enough times - as a pure experiment being a Texan and going to Whataburger my entire life…oh, and it being my first job as a teen…to give you a fair assessment because I thought this location would change. But this relationship is toxic and I’m throwing in the towel. You don’t get to hurt me anymore. 🥺

I can now conclude with confidence that you’re going to wait a total of 35 mins for food 8 out of 10 times…ON A GOOD DAY…if you choose to order inside. I’ve even sat in the drive thru for as long as an hour but honestly, they both run neck and neck. There’s no way around a long wait.

A guy told me tonight he had waited 40 mins for chicken tenders. Fun fact, you can fry a whole batch of chicken wings in less than 15 mins at Wingstop, so what’s a tender??? Can’t be longer than that. This isn’t rocket science.

They have two full (food) lines in the back. How are you that behind? We had one line, 20 years ago, with even more customers and we had people in and out in no time. The food was HOT, fresh and we toasted our buns. This food is NEVER hot. Warm at best. And buckle up people, because you’re bound to have a date with the toilet shortly after. And it’s just sad. Like, you’re ruining the tradition of this place.

I’m cool on this location. Won’t be back. Ever. For anyone who still tries it, just know, it doesn’t reflect the true legacy of Whataburger in any way. It just...
