Arigato Sayonara This place is fantastic! I’ve eaten here before because the sushi is amazing, but my last visit has not been a disappointment. I was in the mood for noodles and I remembered they served those there. So we walked in and to my surprise and delight they also have a hibachi grill. Every time I’ve gone there I’ve have never seen that side of the restaurant. The place is cozy and the staff is friendly they smile and greet you as you walk in the door. The most amazing smell of meat and veggies cooking hits you as they ask where you’d like to be seated. The menus are nice and come with detailed descriptios of all they have to offer. Noodles is what I wanted so thats what I ordered. I ordered their chicken udon, but don’t worry they do have ramen as well. We didn’t have to wait long for our meals and when they came we weren’t disappointed. Now I like my food spicy which is something they offer. When the nice waitress brought us our food she was thoughtful enough to tell me that she brought the spice on the side. By doing it this way I had the option of how spicy I wanted my noodles to be. When I added that spice it changed the flavor of the noodles. I had taken a few bites without it and I have to say its the best I’ve3 ever had, but when i added the spice well now the taste was a game changer. The noddles were cooked to perfection and the veggies had just enough crispness to please my pallet. We did enter the restaurant almost a hour before closing, and at most places the staff will be brisk and try to get you out so they can go home, which I don’t blame them one bit, but the staff here were calm and didn’t try to rush us at all. They gave us the same curtsey that the other patrons received even though we came kinda late. So naturally when it was almost time for them to close we had our meals packet up to take home. So in conclusion I would highly recommend this delightful restaurant to everyone. The food is authentic and delicious while the staff...
Read moreArigato Sayonara is such an amazing restaurant to go to. This was our first time visiting and from walking in the door the hostess was wonderful. It's a family restaurant and the staff are so friendly and kind. The service is great and the food is so delicious 😋 My niece took me there to celebrate my 73rd birthday and we had the best time. We decided on hibachi and was not disappointed at all. The chef was delightful, funny and put on a great show! For starters, miso soup and salad was delicious. I had the scallops and shrimp and my sweet niece had filet mignon and shrimp hibachi. Oh my, what a treat! The 2 couples sitting with us wished me a happy birthday ( so did their 2 yr old darling boy) and the hostess brought cheesecake with a candle to celebrate my birthday! Oh... what a beautiful surprise! As we waited for our check, the hostess told us that an angel blessed us and that entire experience made my birthday even more special! What a FANTASTIC birthday! We definitely will go back when my niece comes back to town. We'll try lunch, udon/ramen or other menu items. I believe this is going to be our new favorite place. Thank you to both couples at our table because we had a great time dining with you and thanks to the hostess and chef for making my day extra...
Read moreFirst time visit and the staff were very friendly and helpful. While the atmosphere was pleasant, the food ended up with lackluster at best.
My partner got the deluxe bento box and the portions for the price was really good. They had me try a piece of steak however and it wasn’t seasoned. The tempura was nice and the sauce was pleasant otherwise. I got a gyoza appetizer and miso ramen. The gyoza was good but served with dark soy instead of ponzu, which was too bitter for the flavors. The ramen however was not only mild and without proper base but it was also instant noodles. There are gourmet and higher quality instant noodles of all varieties but this wasn’t one of them. Even for $10 for the bowl, I couldn’t say it was worth it.
So while the service was good, the food wasn’t. Their hibachi might be way better but the set dishes were not up to par. If you decide to go here, I’d suggest the hibachi or the bentos. Avoid any of the...
