I booked my wedding hair and makeup with Jovi months in advance let her know that I would need her to come to my venue which she was fine with as long as I paid her 25 dollar travel fee. I came in a month and a half before my wedding for my hair and makeup trial which was extra money as well. I confirmed that we were still good for her arrival time of 11 am to my venue. Which she was okay with. I messaged her the Friday before my wedding to make sure that we were still good to go, to which she replied that we were. I then received a call from her at 4 pm the night before my wedding, informing me that she double booked myself and another wedding and the only way she could service me was if I could come to her salon at 6:30 AM to have my hair and make up done for my 4:30 ceremony. She also was only willing to take 20 dollars off the price when her travel fee was 25 dollars. Very disappointing experience, especially the night before my wedding and such short notice. And especially when the manager of the salon was involved, she made it seem because this was booked on social media that mistakes just happen. The reality is, that I met with the stylist in person, I didn’t just talk to her on social media, I actually texted with her back and forth and got a confirmation that morning from her personal cell. This would be different if this was a hair cut, but this was my wedding, and feeling awful isn’t enough in my opinion. Liz is very unprofessional. I went to her for a half sew in. I told her I couldn't use glue unless I had a protective shield bcuz I'm allergic. Needless to say she put glue in my hair without a protector and had to try and clean it out with something. Two days later she agreed to take the hair out and give me some of my money back. Here's the thing she wrote up this paper saying "she took the extensions out and my hair was fine." I wrote on the paper that a area in the front of head was still irritated. She tried not giving me my money back. So after speaking with the owner or manager she gave me my money back after trying to argue and making herself look stupid as hell. How the hell you gone tell me what I'm feeling in my head, on my scalp, on my body. I went in like 9:50 Wednesday I didn't leave until 4:10. There was one woman in the chair when I got there. I was put under the dryer 5 different times. The 2 women that came in after me she washed, set and finished them and I was still there. Then she gone try to tell me that the irritation in my head up front was from my eczema REALLY. My eczema didn't show up until after I sat under the dryer all day and it was on my neck because the heat had dried my skin out. I've never had this problem with anyone before. Cancelled my daughters next appt with this unprofessional so called stylist. This is probably one of the reasons her salon no longer exist. I came in for the first time try this salon out because it has decent reviews , with healthy bouncy head of curls . I left with orange hair and chemical burns on my scalp from over processing with lightener and my hair is completely fried . Shelly processed my hair so many times and at one point tried to let me leave with blue hair , I wasn’t going to say anything but after walking around looking like a clown for the last nearly two weeks I decided to try and warn the rest of the world to be weary if you come here of the potential for this to happen again. I had to go to another salon to fix the results and even still my hair was so damaged and so many different colors it isn’t fantastic looking now either . My hair had to have 5 inches cut off and my curl pattern is ruined . I am devastated and I never complain about anything but I felt after the first two times processing she started to get annoyed that she had to keep fixing HER MISTAKE .
