I recently visited here for brunch and opted for the Distillery Plate, which offered a solid mix of flavors. The bacon stood out with its smoky profile and a perfect balance of meat and fat—crisp and delicious. The duck fries were a highlight, bringing a rich and unique twist to the plate. The sausage links, while decent, didn’t quite match the rest; they were fine but lacked that wow factor. The sourdough bread slices were tasty with a nice tang, though I found them a bit small for the hearty portions of the dish. I ordered two eggs over easy, but the execution was inconsistent—one was spot-on, while the other was over-hard, which was a letdown. On the bright side, the Bloody Mary was a revelation. Made with their whiskey, it was a bold and creative take I’d never have thought to try myself—easily one of the best I’ve had. Overall, it was a satisfying brunch with some standout moments and a couple of minor missteps. I’d come back for that Bloody Mary though.

I'm passing through Nashville for the weekend. Looking for local food, whiskey, and history. Nelson's GreenBrier Restaurant and Distillery has all three combined. The food is very good. I had the steak frites. Mouth watering, buttery, and tender. I also had a smoked old fashion. Classic old fashion, balance of spirit and sweetness. We were able to luck into a tour of the distillery. Our tour guide, Shawn, was easy to listen to and very informative. It is very interesting to hear the history of the name, product, and revitalization of the process. The sampling of the product at the end is also very informative and tasteful.

When you walk into the distillery it has an open floor plan and well decorated. Once we were seated we ordered some appetizers and drinks. The appetizers were different. It was grits with mushrooms and I believe marsala sauce. It was pretty good. Everyone in my party got burgers and they seemed to enjoy them. I got the schnitzel. It was big and the first couple bites were good but overall it lacks flavor. There was little to no seasoning and the gravy cover a small amount of the schnitzel. The potatoes in duck fat were the highlight of the meal but not enough to make me want to return for another meal.

Been here twice in the last 3 days. Check out my comments on the bar and gift shop, this is only about the restaurant. Overall a 3 at best. Service was average, the bus person kept trying to take our plate before we were half done. The food was luke warm. The monkey bread was ice cold, thought it was supposed to be warm. My son-in-law had a hair in his burger, my wife's pancakes were like warm, I got 2 eggs and sausage. The sausage was good but luke warm, and the eggs with cheese had a slice of cheese, maybe a Kraft single laid on the top, seriously, no shredded cheese, not very appetizing for the price. Not sure why the food wasn't hot, really wasn't very busy, about 4 tables taken. Don't be discouraged though, Jessica at the gift shop and Cayla at the bar were amazing absolute gems of employees, service by them was outstanding and the bourbon samples...

We ate here after our tour for lunch on a Saturday. The restaurant was not packed, but you can certainly get a reservation to make sure if coming for a specific weekend. We got a large amount of food and it is pretty good food!

I had the tacos and it's a real good size for a lunch. My friends got the burger and steak grilled cheese and they all really liked it, too. There were a couple drinks that look nice and taste good. We got some orders of the Pink Pony Club drink, very refreshing. The aesthetic inside is great, too, fitting for either a bachelor party of a bachelorette party. Our server was also really cool and helpful for picking out some spots to go in...
