UPDATE: Per the google response from the owner, I sent an email out...11 days ago and no reply as of 10/21/2022. Guess the owners really don't care about their customer's experience or making things right.
I want to first want to mention that the food was great, but the service was 100% unacceptable. There were red flags from the moment we entered. We walk in, Britnie greeted us, but then tells us we can sit anywhere and find our own spot. We sit and order our food and our order is taken down on what looks like a random receipt. We ordered a chicken parm meal and a calzone, with two beers, and that was it. Five minutes later Britnie comes back to confirm that one of us ordered the Chicken parm meal. Granted that it is busy and there is a staffing issue, but it was odd. My friend gets part of his food first and sometime after, a gentleman walks over to our table with a large pizza. We told him that it wasn't for us and he looked confused. Some time after that, Britnie walks over and says "Oh, so you decided against the pizza you ordered?" in a bothered tone. We never ordered it. Never once mentioned anything to a pizza. I spoke up and said that I ordered only the calzone. She just huffed and behaved like she was being inconvenienced. We were never given or offered water with our food and by the time the check comes, it was entered incorrectly. My friend at this point is over the whole situation and doesn't want to further interact with Britnie. He wanted to talk to the manager, but surprise, she is the manager. He told her that he was charged for something he shouldn't have been charged for and instead of apologizing, she blamed it on someone else. Britnie continued to belittle us in a condescending tone with "You should have just used your words, I could easily fix this. Just use your words next time"... We are two grown men that do not want to speak with you because you lost our trust on how to run a business. Then to continue to say such things like "hold me down" over and over (for what reason, I do not know) and to continue to keep saying "Have a nice night gentlemen " "Have a fantastic evening guys" in such a disingenuous and sarcastic tone was beyond unneeded. I understand that staffing was an issue, so why make things more difficult for yourself. One, maybe instead of telling guests to pick wherever, take control and seat them in a spot that makes the most sense for short staff. Two, have better tools to take orders so that you don't accidentally cross tabels together. Calling us liars after we told the waiter we didn't order something is not good customer service. Finally, take accountability if a mistake is made and drop the belittling attitude. It's what you say, it's how you say it and to be honest, I am shocked that a manager would behave like this. Most people are okay with slower service due to staffing, but not to be called liars and treated like...
Read moreI’ve been a regular customer at Al’s Pizza (Neptune Beach) for both individual takeout and occasional catering orders. Unfortunately, I’ve had multiple negative interactions with the manager, Brittany, and my most recent visit crossed the line.
I called the day before to place a large order and confirmed an 11:30 a.m. pickup time. I arrived at 11:19 just to check that everything was on track. A staff member assisted me and went to check on the order, then Brittany came out. She immediately questioned why I was “way too early,” even though I was only 11 minutes early for the agreed-upon pickup time. I mentioned I can wait but needed to have the food by noon to make it to my destination on time. When I reminded her that I had called ahead and confirmed 11:30, she responded sarcastically: “How do you expect us to get that done in 30 minutes?”—even though the pickup time had already been approved. She continued to mutter and huff on her way to the back, and I could hear her telling other staff to never accept pickup times that early and to always check with her first.
About 15 minutes later, Brittany brought the order to the front. She sarcastically said, “Make sure it’s to your satisfaction,” then walked away without saying anything else.
On the way out I started to explain to my friend who came to help me carry the food out how terrible the experience I just had was. As we were walking out the door, Brittany came outside and publicly confronted me in front of other customers. She aggressively asked if there was a problem, then cut me off when I tried to respond that yes there was. She accused me of being rude, claimed I “never tip,” and told us not to come back.
I want to be clear: I was certainly frustrated by her rude behavior—both in this instance and in past visits—but I have never said anything inappropriate or disrespectful in return. I’ve always kept my responses calm and professional, even when I felt mistreated. I tip when dining in or when additional service is provided—but not for takeout, and certainly not when the service is hostile.
This wasn’t an isolated incident. I’ve experienced Brittany’s rudeness before and have witnessed her treating other customers the same way. I've had other staff apologize to me on her behalf and explain shes usually like that. The atmosphere in the restaurant is noticeably more pleasant on the days she isn’t there.
The food is consistently great, and the rest of the staff are friendly and respectful. But the behavior I experienced from management was completely unacceptable. I hope this is addressed—no customer should be...

I just had an absolutely incredible dining experience at Al’s Pizza in Neptune Beach, and I can’t recommend this place highly enough! From the moment we walked in, everything exceeded our expectations.
The Food - Simply Perfect We started with their Caesar salad, which arrived almost immediately and was nothing short of impeccable. Fresh, crisp, and bursting with flavor - it set the tone for what would be an amazing meal. The star of the show was their 16-inch pepperoni pizza (their large size). The speed of service was remarkable - it arrived incredibly fast without sacrificing any quality. Every bite was pure perfection, with the ideal balance of crispy crust, flavorful sauce, and generous toppings.
Unbeatable Happy Hour Their daily happy hour from 2 PM to 6 PM is an absolute steal! We enjoyed their house-made German pilsner-style beer for just $3 each. This isn’t your typical mass-produced beer - it’s crafted in-house and tastes amazing. The quality rivals much more expensive craft beers.
Exceptional Service The highlight of our visit was the outstanding service from Britnie. Her attention to detail, friendly demeanor, and professional service made our experience truly special. It’s rare to find service this exceptional, and she deserves all the recognition for her 5 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ service.
The Atmosphere The restaurant has a wonderful, welcoming atmosphere with beautiful industrial-style pendant lighting and a clean, modern aesthetic. You can tell they’ve put thought into creating a space where people want to spend time.
Final Thoughts Al’s Pizza delivers on every level - exceptional food that arrives quickly, fantastic value during happy hour, and service that goes above and beyond. This is definitely a must-visit spot in Neptune Beach. We’ll absolutely be back!
