We have been going to the San Jose location for 2 years and have had no complaints at all until about a month with wait times and the location being short staffed really feel bad for the two male mozos that are there because the last three time we went they have been running and apologizing so much about staff and wait times, bless them they are great truly . Well on Sunday May 18th we decided to try the new location expecting less wait and same food which is A1 over at San jose which is why we don't mind waiting over there . Unfortunately our experience was a bummer I ordered choros a la chalaca little spicy when I tried it it tasted watered down almost not a hint of lime and they were warm which was very odd my waitress which I can't never remember her name we've known her from the previous location curly hair very nice asked us about the food and I had to be honest and she apologized and was going to let the cook know and that was it . We waited for our main plates tallarin saltado de Carne y Chaufa de Carne y pollo it took long for the food to come out our waitress apologized twice while we kept waiting and the tallarin was ok but nothing like San jose location and the chaufa was salty and didn't taste right my husband left more then half the plate and we are well known at the other location to clear our plates every single time .We did try the tres leches and it was great we were happy that at least our last "plate" was great. Very nice location and we loved our waitress it was very nice to see her again but we doubt we will be going to this location again . Wishing this location the best and keep representing our amazing...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe came to Sr. Cevicheās new location in Neptune Beach to celebrate my husbandās birthday today, and everything was just perfect! I called yesterday and was able to make reservation for 7 with ease. I also asked if itād be possible to bring our own cake to share, and the manager agreed ā no worries, very accommodating ā and when I showed up with the cake, the staff put it in a refrigerator for us until it was time to sing and cut the cake.
Now letās talk food: to start we ordered the Choros a la Chalaca ā yum!; the trio de causas ā very good; and the anticuchos ā delicious!! Iām very picky with my Peruvian food, as my husband is Peruvian, and we know good food, so when I say the anticuchos were delicious, they were delicious and perfectly cooked!! Or entrees included the classic ceviche (10/10), jalea (9/10), lomo saltado con tallarines a la huancaina (10/10), classic lomo saltado (9/10), and seco de res con frijoles (10/10).
Last, our server, Alessandra, was excellent! She was so friendly, exuding positivity; patient as or large party ordered; separated checks with no problem; and was just overall great! We were even personally thanked by the chef for giving them so many compliments on the food ā her passion was evident.
So glad weāve found a great Peruvian restaurant close to us (weāve been missing this since we moved up here from Miami). Iām looking forward to trying out the rest...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am appalled by the treatment me and family received from this establishment. Once we came into the restaurant there was no space so they made a huge table for us to sit down in. We were never asked by the server if we were a full party because most of the family did not eat. So we were all charged for an automatic 18% on a ticket of 4 people, a separate one of 1 person and another ticket of 4 people. It state thereās a service fee for more than 6 people in a party which we all came individually. Not only did we encounter that but one of the orders with 4 people who ordered before anyone received there food last while everyone else ate. The server did not come to check on the table nor clear it out. I am a server myself and I can say the service here is horrible. We were forced to pay gratuity for horrible service. To think my family drove from Orlando and we chose this place is...
