0.5/5 stars. 0.5 stars because our server was truly nice and genuine during this experience. The evening started out okay. After about an hour of waiting for our food we flagged down the hostess and asked what the wait was for our food, to which she looked annoyed and replied “look around. As you can see we’re full and it is typical for food to take this long” (the restaurant opens at 5pm. We had a 5pm reservation and were one of the first tables there). After waiting a bit longer we got ahold of the manager. At this point we had been waiting about an hour and 15 minutes, after asking about our food he said that a wait this long was “typical” for them. In addition to this, the host was watching our interaction with the manager from across the restaurant and laughing. We brought this to attention to the manager, to which he replied sarcastically “yeah I’ll talk to her”. When we finally received our food a majority of the food was cold. We once again asked for management, he asked if we wanted him to take the food back to “heat up” to which we replied we didn’t want our food heated up. He stated, “well I can bring you fresh food” at this point we requested our food be compensated because we were over the experience and wanted to leave. The manager refused to compensated any food- beside one side of fries, and he would only compensate the food after he took the fries from our table. we finally asked the manager for the check— he brought the check and we paid. After running our card, we realized we never got a margarita that we ordered, so we asked if we could be refunded for the margarita (it was a $20 margarita). He stated we needed to be charged twice (our table paid over $1000 for our bill), and wait for one of the charges to be refunded for this to occur. When we questioned this, the manger stated “well I gave you the check to look over so you should’ve notice before I ran the card.” We finally just asked that the margarita be put in a to go cup as we paid for it and couldn’t be refunded. To which they gave us a half full plastic cup of margarita. During this time our server was apologetic and very polite. The hostess and manager Christian treated us with annoyance for any complaints. We didn’t end up eating most of our food despite paying over $1000 for this. They refused to compensated anything. While our group was exiting the restaurant, a few of us stayed at the table to finish the wine we had paid for, while the host stated that we needed to be kicked out of the restaurant. Overall a horrible experience. It is completely understandable for restaurants to have long wait times for food, or for food to show up not hot, but the hostess and manager Christian managed the situation horribly and made our group feel terrible for asking about our food. Rather than being apologetic for the situation we were treated with disrespect and were told that this situation...

We had the distinct pleasure of hosting a Chaîne des Rôtisseurs dinner at Bistecca Italian Steakhouse inside the Tuscany Suites and Casino—an evening that will long remain in our memories. The setting, service, and culinary artistry came together in a way that truly celebrated everything our society holds dear: elegance, excellence, and fellowship.
Located just a few blocks from the vibrant Las Vegas Strip, the Tuscany Suites and Casino may be modest in size compared to its towering neighbors, but for over 22 years, it has carved out a well-earned reputation for excellence in both food and entertainment. At its heart is Bistecca, the property’s preeminent restaurant, led by Chaîne member who is also the General Manager. It was here that over 60 members and guests gathered to indulge in a truly exceptional dining experience.
The evening began with a welcoming trio of tray-passed hors d’oeuvres: Fiche Toscano (figs wrapped in prosciutto with balsamic glaze), Arancini (carnaroli rice with beef Bolognese, taleggio cheese, and parmesan fondue), and Funghi Stufati (portobello mushrooms, Italian sausage, mozzarella, ricotta, spinach, and lemon herb beurre blanc), all paired perfectly with Chateau St. John Blanc de Noirs from Carneros.
To elevate the cocktail hour even further, we were treated to a special appearance by Drew Anthony, who portrays Dean Martin in the acclaimed production The Rat Pack is Back, which has been a mainstay at the Tuscany for over eight years. His performance added a touch of nostalgic charm and Las Vegas magic to the evening.
As we sat down for dinner, the courses continued to impress. The first course, Burrata Pera (burrata cheese and bosc pear with basil-tarragon purée, crispy prosciutto, and balsamic vinegar), was elegantly paired with Banshee Sauvignon Blanc. This was followed by a rich and comforting Lobster Bisque topped with poached langostino tails, complemented beautifully by Foley Johnson Merlot from Rutherford.
For the entrée, we enjoyed a refined presentation of Veal Saltimbocca with sage and prosciutto, served alongside Tuscan potatoes and asparagus. This course was paired with Silverado Borreo Ranch Sangiovese, providing an earthy, structured counterpoint to the savory flavors on the plate.
The meal concluded with a classic Tuscan Torte a la Nonna, garnished with ginger yogurt and fresh citrus segments, paired with Banshee Brut Ten of Cups for a light, celebratory finish.
This unforgettable evening was a perfect reflection of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs’ mission: to bring together lovers of fine cuisine and exceptional wines in an atmosphere of camaraderie and culinary...
Read moreSince you might not take the time to read this whole review, here is what you need to know... The manager Christian was completely rude and unapologetic. When several others in our party left bad reviews, the management stalked them and sent direct messages to them threatening to contact their employers or schools. They pretended to be other patrons that saw the incident. But it's obvious they weren't since the only way to know who they were was from taking the name off the credit card. It's also obvious because on our way out, we stopped at the tables next to us and apologized to them. We never intended for it to get so heated. They stated they heard the whole thing and completely understood.
Everything started off very nicely. We were seated promptly when we arrived for our reservation, and our waitress was very friendly. The appetizers showed up quickly and were hot and delicious.
Then things started to fall apart. About an hour passed and still no main courses and drinks weren't getting refilled. Several of us ordered more drinks and those of us that got them took about 20 minutes. Others never got them at all.
Once our food arrived it was cold. You could tell our waitress was starting to get a bit overwhelmed and didn't come back for a while so by the time she did we asked to speak to the manager. We explained that our food that took forever to arrive was cold and it was obvious that our waitress, who started out fantastic, was getting overwhelmed assisting other staff members.
That's when thing got ugly. The manager, Christian was completely unapologetic, rude and confrontational. The closest thing to an apology was "we are very busy tonight, and you have a large group". There was 10 of us and I can understand some delays and a little extra patience is necessary. All of us understood and expected things would take a little longer with a group of 10. But at some point we began to feel abandoned and then when the food showed up cold, it was time to say something. We weren't trying cause a scene and demand that our meals all get comped. We just wanted to let the manager know things had taken a turn and give them an opportunity to make things right.
While talking to the manager, another person in our party noticed that several of the drinks that never showed up were still on the bill. When we asked to have them removed, Christian stated too bad, you should have looked at your bill closer. Finally we just demanded that he bring the drinks so we could leave. He walked over to the bar and lo and behold, there were the missing drinks just...
