If you’re searching for the best plant-based cuisine in town, look no further than Down 2 Earth! This culinary gem has completely redefined my expectations of vegan dining. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by a warm, inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements the vibrant and innovative menu.
The food at Down 2 Earth is nothing short of extraordinary. Each dish is a celebration of fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, masterfully crafted to tantalize the taste buds. I started with the “Garden Herb Pesto Pasta,” which was a delightful medley of flavors and textures. The homemade pesto was rich and aromatic, and the perfectly al dente pasta was adorned with seasonal vegetables that burst with freshness.
For my main course, I opted for the “Mushroom & Quinoa Stuffed Bell Peppers,” and I can honestly say it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The peppers were grilled to perfection, and the filling was a hearty blend of savory mushrooms, nutty quinoa, and a hint of spice that left me craving more. Each bite was a delightful explosion of flavor that showcased the kitchen's creativity and passion for plant-based cuisine.
The dessert menu is equally impressive — I indulged in the “Chocolate Avocado Mousse,” and it was simply divine! Rich, creamy, and decadently chocolatey, this dessert is proof that plant-based can be indulgent without compromising on flavor or quality.
What truly sets Down 2 Earth apart is their commitment to sustainability and wellness. The staff is knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about the food they serve, making recommendations that enhance the dining experience. The restaurant also prioritizes eco-friendly practices, which aligns perfectly with my values.
In a town filled with dining options, Down 2 Earth stands out as a must-visit destination for anyone, whether you’re a lifelong vegan or just curious about plant-based dining. The creativity, quality, and flavor of the dishes are unmatched, making it a true culinary treasure. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their delightful offerings. If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and make a reservation — you won’t...
Read moreWhat a hidden gem!! When my husband first mentioned this place I wasn't too sure about it just because I've never had plant-based options for a meal lol however, it was so good! I got the truffle macaroni and cheese because I tried to stick with something I was familiar with it was so delicious in super cheesy I would have never known that it was good for me I had it not been for the price 😂 my husband got the southern fried oyster mushrooms which you would have never known where mushrooms had you not no they were mushrooms! They were so crunchy and flavorful that we ended up buying another tartar sauce for a dollar to finish off the plate because they were that good!!! Highly recommend this place especially if it's your first time going with a plant-based option because the menu gives you the opportunity to dip your toes in without drowning yourself & getting overwhelmed by all the options that you've never had any experience with😆 That was my previous experience with plant-based stuff I didn't understand it and I wasn't sure where to begin so this made it a lot easier because I'm familiar with macaroni and cheese. It's on the second floor across from the AMC theater. Morgan was...
Read moreThis place is tucked away in a busy outdoor shopping mall, so it's a little hard to find but worth the trip. We were on our way to the airport to head out of town and were looking for something plantbased near by and this place popped up in my search. The restaurant is not very big, but there are a couple of high counters and tables that you can sit down at. There was space to stash our luggage while we ate as well, as it wasn't too crowded on a Sunday afternoon.
Everything is 100% plant based so it's nice knowing we could order anything off the menu we wanted. You can either order at the counter and then sit down, or there is a QR code where you can order from your table via an app. After you order they do bring the food directly to your table for you.
My husband tried the fish fry which was interesting basically a big mushroom patty. He thought it was good but maybe wasn't super close to a fish sandwich taste. I do know they source their mushrooms somewhere locally so that was nice to hear. I went with the patty melt which was good. I absolutely loved their shoestring fries, I would eat those all day. We also tried a piece of their lemon bar, which I also enjoyed and...
