I absolutely love fashion and I go shopping at least 3-4 times a month. I am always looking for boutiques with unique pieces to model for my photoshoots. My husband and I found this place on a whim and decided to check it out. I found a few things I liked and proceeded to try them on with the help of the owner. Whilst in the changing room I overheard the owner talking with my husband a & make a negative comment about another retailer in the area, which we found to be quite tasteless. I overlooked the comment because I love supporting black owned women businesses. I found an item I liked, checked out and was told to follow and tag the boutique on IG for updates on new items as well as runway shows. I followed them awhile, and seen that they were very consistent is reposting their customers on social media, which I admired. Few weeks go by and I RSVPd my husband and I for the upcoming runway show only to be accepted one day and rejected three days later, due to an 'overbooking mistake' made by the assistant. I was told that the show would be live streamed, so look out for the link and additionally I would receive 50% off my next purchase. No worries, everything still sounds good. I finally wear my dress that I bought and tagged the boutique as I agreed to do, however instead of supporting me as they did their other customers I was given the excuse: "My IG wont let me add it to my story so can you just send it to me so I can share".. I immediately did just that. Still nothing however i'm still very positive, and I'm excited about the virtual show. The night of the show comes and I do not receive a link despite me reaching out to make sure it didn't get lost in cyberspace somewhere. Still no response, so at this point I take it as a personal attack and its quite obvious that I was not wanted at the event, hence all the excuses. Now I wish I hadn't ignored the comment about the other retailer because it became very clear that the owner is judgmental. I'm not sure if it was because I went shopping in my gym clothes or my husband's Maori face tattoo, but in the big scheme of things it doesn't matter; judgment is a negative trait to have especially in the retail business, the Las Vegas retail business at that. Customer service is supposed to be blind, but that is not the case here. Needless to say my experience in and out of the boutique was very unique and I will not be using my discount nor supporting a business where they pick and choose which customers to value....
Read moreIf you are looking for wedding dresses, this is NOT where you want to shop. I was excited to be trying on wedding dresses. On their website it said “Walk ins welcomed” So I came in today, Sunday November 17th, to try on wedding dresses, with my mother, father and sister. The young girl told us it would be a $79 charge and it goes towards the dress. Their wedding dress selection was very small. I asked what if I don’t find anything I really like here? She said I had 1 week to get a refund. Great! We’ll pay the $79. No problem. As I was looking through their selection, no one was helping us. We were holding the dresses in our hands while looking at others. An older lady came up to us rudely and repeated what the younger lady told us 3 different times about the $79 charge. We said yes, she already told us. We understand. I went to pay the $79 before trying on the dresses. I asked again, if I don’t find the one, I get the $79 back correct? She said No and rolled her eyes. I looked to the younger lady and the younger lady was saying yes, that’s the rules. The older lady completely disregarded what she said. I asked for my money back. No one was around to make this day special for me. Their wedding selection is very small. There was only 1 other person in the store, so we should’ve had a little more help. The older women was very rude. For a non refundable $79 we should’ve been treated with a little...
Read moreMy experience with this store was a 10/10. We had to check-in to wait for our turn to try on dresses due to the limited dressing rooms but when it was our turn, I then realized it's because there were also personal stylists accommodating the guest. I found this to be a nice touch to the experience. Gabriella was our stylist. She was patient and helpful locating dresses to try on and whether the store had them in stock at the store or the warehouse. I love that this store has a runway to make the person trying on dresses feel special and good about their choice. I do wish the store was a little bigger with more seating but on days like ours, we found benches outside and relied on the text system to notify us of our turn. We were able to decide on a beautiful dress however it was not on-site. The store had the option to ship out or pick up once they receive the dress from their warehouse. We opt for shipping since we lived out of state. The store quality controls before shipping. We received the dress as expected which was in total of 7 days from purchase. All staff were nice and the customer service was even better. I highly recommend ordering or purchasing from this store. We did notice dress sizes can run one size too small since the material doesn't stress so something to keep in mind when purchasing online. Thank you Dress Shop for such an...
