I absolutely LOVED everything we ordered! We decided to try this place out because it was Monday! :) I mean, why not? I made a reservation to be safe, but because it was just two, and maybe it was on a Monday it wasn't necessary, but I wanted to be safe! We were seated right away, our waiter Darreck came within seconds to introduce himself, and took our drinks order. He was very attentive, and showed his sense of humor which we always appreciate! My friend already knew what he wanted, because he looked at the menu prior to arriving ( smart, because there were lots to choose from) . After I decided what I wanted, we both ordered the "Boop-oop-a-doop " drink . It's made of "grey goose vodka, elderflower blossoms, framboise & blackberries, lemon" SO GOOD!!! ( We HIGHLY recommend) Moving in to the food, we ordered, the fried calamari, grilled pork belly, kabuki roll, avacado and eel roll , hibachi rice and spicy ramen ( shared in two separate bowls) For every bite both our taste buds were jumping for joy!! We were pleasantly surprised that every dish was incredibly tasty!! The spicy ramen was our first choice, especially as my friend visited Japan. Since he's been back to the States, he hasn't been able to find a ramen place that came close to what he had in Japan. Until NOW !! It was unbelievably TASTY and SPICY!! Inserts love struck emoji For dessert, we had the fried ice cream, and the banana tempura with more ice cream ( duhhh) :) This restaurant immediately became of favorite spot in Town square! " I'll be BACK!!" In my Arnold...
Read moreFood was excellent at Kabuki! Our group had sushi, chicken teriyaki, and beef yakisoba noodles. The service was extremely poor. . .We all ordered a drink, and the server brought all but one person's drink order. The server said his tray was too full to include it. He left our table and never returned with the drink. We had to remind him 15 minutes later before the drink was finally delivered. One person in the group ordered edamame and it was never delivered. We asked the server about it, and he was surprised that we didn't receive it. Thinking he never placed the order for it. . .salads that accompany the entrees were served a minute before the entrees were delivered to our table AND the server miscounted the number of the salads, and only brought one soup which should have been two so half the table didn't receive salads until 10 minutes later. Also, when you serve entrees, you should not pass them over the table to the other side of the table. The server needed to walk around to the other side of the table to deliver the entree. The folks that had sushi didn't receive their dipping sauce and had to request it. No one ever returned to check on how our entrees were tasting. The second round of drink orders were forgotten. Honestly, this is not our normal level of service at Kabuki. Disappointed and hope they work with their staff on providing an acceptable...
