Firefly in Las Vegas isn't just a restaurant; it's a culinary carnival where every bite is a celebration! From the moment you step in, you're whisked into a world where flavors dance and the ambiance sings. The interior? A masterpiece of design, making you feel like you've stepped into a swanky, modern lodge with all the cozy vibes. It's all about the details here, from the trendy cups to the artfully crafted decorations.
Now, let's talk tapas. I've been around the block when it comes to small plates, but Firefly takes the game to a whole new level. The variety is staggering – think steak y papas, filet and mushroom skewers, and steamed mussels that'll make your taste buds swoon. And the paella? It's a star show all on its own. Order the chicken and mushroom one, and you'll know what heaven tastes like. But hey, remember it's a slow-cooked marvel, so give it the time it deserves.
The sangrias here are not just drinks; they're a fiesta in a glass. Each sip is a mix of fruity, boozy bliss. And the cocktails? Let's just say they know how to mix a drink that'll make you want to toast to life itself.
Service is where Firefly really shines. It's like every staff member has a PhD in making you feel welcome. They're attentive, quick, and always ready with a recommendation. The owner, John, is the cherry on top – a host with the most, ensuring everyone's visit is nothing short of spectacular.
The vibe is perfect for a night out with friends, a cozy date, or even a solo adventure. The place buzzes with an energy that's contagious, yet you're never rushed. It's all about savoring the moment, the food, and the company.
In a city like Vegas, where every corner promises a new experience, Firefly stands out as a beacon of culinary delight. It's not just a meal; it's an experience, a memory in the making. So, whether you're a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and swing by Firefly. It's not just good; it's 'come-back-for-more' good
So good I had to write a Haiku to sum it up

Read moreSpanish tapas restaurant/bar with outdoor patio seating. They’re currently open during covid for dine-in, and you can make a reservation online. We came here for weekend brunch right when they opened at 11am. Our waiter was friendly and helpful, and the food came out pretty quickly. Note that it takes ~40min-1hr for the paella to cook, so give it enough lead time. Our waiter recommended 2-3 tapas per person, but I think 6 tapas for a party of four is enough, assuming you get the paella. Here’s a breakdown of what we ate:
Plate of Manchego Cheese and Serrano Ham: straightforward; love how Serrano ham just melts in your mouth. Solid choice for a cold tapa.
Scallop Escargot: comes in 6 with plenty of garlic and butter like the real deal. You can dip the complimentary bread in the sauce if you have some leftover. Get this if you like seafood.
Stuffed Dates: dates with nuts and covered with bacon/sweet sauce. Came with 5 dates. Only get this if you like sweet things.
Tortilla a la Español: I loved eating this dish when I lived in Madrid, but unfortunately this dish was a bit dry, maybe because the egg was over cooked. I’d pass on this.
Fried calamari: The serving size was a pleasant surprise as it was more than I expected, and the aioli sauce it came with was good. I liked it.
Chicken Tinga Empanada: it was a bit disappointing that there’s just one empanada cut into half, with a side of salad with a citrus dressing, but the filling was good at least. Pass.
Chicken and Mushroom Paella: we added chorizo for an additional $4, but i wish they put more chorizo. They were cut very finely, but otherwise I would highly suggest getting a paella. Very moist and tons of veggies.
We also got a pitcher of sangria, which was good and not too sweet. Credit cards are accepted and free WiFi is available. There’s a small parking lot on-site. Overall, this was a tasty place to grab a meal when you’re...
Read moreI had a reservation, at 530pm. The place was pretty empty around this time. The hostess put us at a tiny little table directly behind a large group of people. It was also directly in the line of the sunlight that was blazing into my eyes through the window, to the point where my boyfriend offered to switch seats with me, but he had to wear sunglasses in order to be able to see. We sat there for about 15-20 minutes having only received water from support staff, no actual waiter. At this point I went and asked the hostess to be moved to one of the many other open tables in the restaurant as this spot was extremely inconvenient and uncomfortable. She said to give her a few minutes. She displayed no promptness or sense of customer service in her attitude. We waited and waited until a server finally came to our table, and we asked him if we could please move to a different table. He went to the hostess, who then came over to us and brought us to our new table, which was directly between two other occupied tables. I am assuming she wanted to keep people in certain sections for the servers but it looked ridiculous to have a dining room full of empty tables and a hostess offering me only the most inconvenient spots in the entire restaurant. After about 45 minutes of complete nonsense just to be sat at a table where one of us wasn't being blinded by the sun, we were finally able to order our food. Server was very nice. But beware, if they put you in the back booths, you are going to be sitting very closely to other diners, to the point where you can fully hear each conversation going on around you. It is not a comfortable or enjoyable dining experience. The food was delicious, but not really worth the gymnastics it took to get to the point where we could...
