Jack in the Box — Restaurant in Nevada

ZERO STARS!! I hope someone who actually cares sees this. I placed a mobile order around 7:45pm today for drive through pickup. When we pulled up to the window we received our bags and drinks from the gentleman I didn’t get name but he had a black shirt on. I was carrying my birthday cake on my lap so since there was cars behind us I told my husband to pull forward so we can check our bags and make sure everything is there due to the fact that we have gone home without checking and have had missing items in a different location and we have always let it go never complained. Sure enough I check our bags and we were missing 2 fries from our order. So my husband went inside to let the gentleman know the same guy at the drive through. And he turned and let the guy in a purple shirt know who was apparently making the orders that we were missing 2 fries. The man in the purple shirt looked at my husband and said “I put the fries in there my boy” so unprofessional! As my husband is taking the items out to show him nothing is in there. The man in the purple shirt continues to argue he put the fries in there. My husband walks out to let me know what’s happening. When I went in there the rude guy in the purple shirt was with a customer so I stayed to the side until the customer paid and the whole time that employee had a smirk on his face. When I asked him what’s happening we are missing our fries he continued to say he put them in the bag. At that point I said so you’re saying I’m lying? I said come check my vehicle. To which he replied “I’m not doing all that” I said that’s fine check the cameras. He said there’s no manager here till tomorrow. He told me to pay for another order of fries and he can give them to me. Umm WHAT? Why would he make me pay again for something HE obviously forgot to put in my bag! Then he tells me to go on the app and cancel my order! How do people like this have jobs with zero respect for customers disgusting arrogant attitude. The fact that he treats paying customers that way I can tell he’s gotten away with it. That’s why he does it! Did I pay for my order YES did I receive what I paid for? NO!! I feel ripped off because as I’m sitting here writing this I didn’t get the food I PAID FOR WITH MY HARD EARNED MONEY! DO BETTER AND YOU LOST A CUSTOMER TODAY THANKS TO THAT RUDE EMPLOYEE NOT GIVING ME WHAT I PAID FOR!

I ordered from the drive-thru and got a spicy chicken meal. When I got home, which is 5 minutes from the Jack-N-The Box, I took a bite of the sandwich and it was stale and hard as a cardboard. I went back to the Jack-N the Box on Durango spoke to this curly red haired, white caucasian woman in purple shirt and I ask for a manager or a supervisor and she said she is the supervisor. I told her the sandwich was stale and hard like a cardboard box. I asked her if she would eat that kind of food herself and she didn’t answer me. Then, she asked me if I wanted a new one. I said I guess. She went in the back to talk to the cook and she returned and I told her that I changed my mind and that I wanted a refund instead as they might spit in my food. She then said that she didn’t know how to give a refund. I told her “What kind of supervisor does not know how to give a refund and would allow for that kind of food to be served?” She then told me that she’s not the cook, so I asked her “What kind of supervisor would blame their employee and not know anything about managing their people?” She then got offended and told me to come back the following day to talk to the manager so I could receive my refund. I told her “Why would I wait the next day to give my refund when you are a supervisor and should know?” Then she proceeded to threaten to call the police on me for asking for a refund in a proper manner. She was very rude and did not want to give me refund, so I ended up not getting a refund or having my food and instead received bad customer service. I think that these supervisors should be properly trained about their job or be fired/demoted if they can’t do her job properly. This wasn’t the first time that I had this kind of bad experience in this store, but this is the first time I am complaining because people deserve to eat a proper meal. People buy fast food for convenience but it becomes more a hassle and stressful because of bad customer service. I went to order through the drive-thru and ended up being refused service and getting SCREAMED at.

I ordered a plain cheeseburger, thinking I could possibly get a bigger bun and patty with no sauces. The person at the drive thru said they would be unable to make it in a larger size than junior- to which I said okay, that’s fine. I then ordered a large curly fry, and asked to make it a combo. The drive-thru lady proceeded to delete my entire order and make it into a kids meal, with no curly fries and complete silence. I clarified that the meal would be for an adult and asked to just do the Junior Cheeseburger, a large curly fry, and a large drink. The drive thru worker started sounding angry, and her microphone was still on. I could hear her speaking badly about me. I attempted to remind her the microphone was still on, to which she began screaming at me through the speaker. SCREAMING. It was absolutely uncalled for and unwelcome.

At this point, I asked to get my order: a junior cheeseburger, which had been at her insistence, a large curly fry which could not be a combo according to her, and a large drink. She then refused to serve me. I pulled up to the window and the lovely lady there, Jenny, allowed me to pay and order with her; she was very kind. The original drive thru worker attempted to keep the door shut and continued to scowl at me.

TO JACK IN THE BOX: I’m not sure what her issue is. It is my guess that she maybe was having a really bad day, or perhaps this is a known attitude problem and she ABSOLUTELY SHOULD NOT BE FACING GUESTS!!!
