'Twas the night of the fateful Ed Sheeran concert that was cancelled...
When my husband and I decided to try Made in Argentina... not realizing until we turned onto Tropicana that we were headed into the heart of the throng. "Where are all these people walking to?"
Nevermind, said we, the restaurant parking lot was relatively accessible despite the traffic, and we arrived early enough to avoid a heavy dinner-time rush. Everyone else was clearly going to the mysterious event we had no idea about.
As we walked into the restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised to see an ample patio with numerous tables with umbrella covers, and a spacious interior that was already bustling. There were plenty of tables left, however, and we grabbed one. Good thing we did...
Because by the time we ordered, the concert had been cancelled, and the overheated, parched and hungry masses were showing up in droves...
You'd think this would be an "out of the way" location, but Made in Argentina... you've made a GREAT choice, and I suspect you're going to have a very VERY booming business, concerts or no concerts.
And that's perfect, because your business model lends itself to the perfect dining-in experience, full of tasty entrees and friendly, helpful waitstaff who seem to be family whether they are or not... as well as the perfect takeout/delivery menu consisting of a wide variety of empanadas and pizzas.
We of COURSE had to try the empanadas for starters. I went with the blue cheese and mushroom-- which was oozy and divine, and I encouraged my husband to forego his default ham and cheese for the corn and red pepper-- which he was very pleased with! They were served with 3 varieties of spiced chimichurri, and I'm a total wuss, so the mild was all I could handle, though I ate my own and my husband's over the course of the meal.
My inner Jiminy Cricket told me to not pass up on the potato salad-- and he was right... deliciously homemade, chock full of veggies and creamy mayo, and oh my, just what I needed. I also had an ample mixed veggie house salad to go with. My husband ordered the chicken schnitzel platter which came with rice, hummus, a large basket of pita bread and sliced bread that we both shared, as well as a side salad. Bottled coca colas here, folks, the real deal.
I bet their pizza is good, and their sandwiches looked killer... so we WILL be returning. I will not miss a second helping of potato salad for sure, and look forward to trying out some other items...
Read moreAN ABSOLUTE GEM!!! 'Made In Argentina' is a very special family owned and operated restaurant. It is, hands-down, one of the best local/hidden secret spots in Las Vegas!
And I am (almost) hesitant to write this because I don’t want it getting any busier, but they are fully deserving of this or all positive recognition, in many ways!
LOCATION: Don’t let the off-the-beaten-path location fool you or put you off trying them out!
It’s a super easy 10-minute walk to/from Allegiant Stadium, only a five minute drive from the Strip, and conveniently, also less than five minutes from my own home.
‘Made In Argentina’ might seem to be, and actually is, tucked away in an industrial building complex, but it is definitely worth finding.
Don’t expect a ‘fancy place’ or ‘find dining establishment’, but you will be pleasantly greeted with a much more casual or ‘diner-like’, friendly, welcoming and lively ambiance.
THE FOOD: Exceptional! And I don’t say that often.
On my first visit, I asked for some recommendations and every single dish served was full of flavour and deliciously prepared. The portion sizes are generous and the value is outstanding.
The empanadas? YES, they ARE the best I’ve ever had.
Truly unforgettable and one of the reasons I keep going back.
THE SERVICE: This is a family-owned and operated restaurant, and you feel that care in every detail. Whether it’s Ezekiel, Mary, or another family member, each of their respective passions’, warmth, hospitality and care always stand out. That kind of service is simply something not easily found these days.
A recent visit summed why I am so effusive about ‘Made In Argentina’ and this unique restaurant:
Because we were in a rush, a friend accidentally left his credit card behind. The staff went out of their way to track us down and personally return it. That kind of thoughtful service is incredibly rare today.
THE CONCLUSION: This is my new go-to spot and I highly recommend it to locals and...

What a gem of a find! Made in Argentina is an absolute treasure tucked away in the industrial heart of the Las Vegas. From the moment we stepped inside, we were enveloped in warmth and hospitality by the friendly staff. Our waitress, who I believe is the owner, greeted us with a genuine smile and made us feel right at home.
Let's talk about the food – where do I even begin? The empanadas here are hands down the BEST I've ever had. The fillings burst with flavor and are crafted with the freshest ingredients imaginable. Not to mention, the generous filling-to-dough ratio left me in awe. Each bite was a delightful explosion of taste that left me craving for more.
Now, onto the steaks – they were nothing short of phenomenal. The hangar steak, in particular, stole the show. It was incredibly flavorful, juicy, and so tender it practically melted in my mouth. Every bite was a testament to the culinary mastery behind each dish. The plating is simple and that's fine because the food is the absolute star.
And oh, let's not forget about the chimichurri. It deserves a paragraph of its own. BY FAR the most delicious chimichurri I've ever tasted. Its bold flavors complemented the steak perfectly, and I found myself pouring three small containers of it over my hangar steak because I simply couldn't get enough. It was a flavor combination that deserves such praise.
I still can't believe my luck stumbling upon this place by happenstance a three weeks ago. Fate truly brought me back here just over two weeks later, and I couldn't be more thankful. I can confidently say that I WILL RETURN, and I urge anyone reading this to do the same. Made in Argentina is a culinary haven that deserves all the praise and more. Trust me, you won't be...
