Was honestly dumbfounded by how I was treated & spoken to from the moment we arrived. I use to work in the hotel business so I’m aware of procedures, how the check in process typically goes, etc. When I got to the front desk to check in, I wasn’t greeted I had to awkwardly stand there till Mark got off his cellphone. He spent around 20 minutes telling me I don’t have a reservation under my name. Even after providing confirmation code, showing proof it’s under my name, etc. After he managed to find my reservation, he said he needs IDs for every single person staying in the room. I was surprised because having worked in the business myself, this is not a requirement anywhere I’ve worked or stayed. I come to California, multiple times a year and have never once been told this. But according to Mark “this is standard in all of california”. Was never forced to give IDs of everyone in the room, names, etc it’s always optional because of PRIVACY. Even if we knew other ppl were staying in the room, we were never allowed to force ppl to give IDs as it was not a requirement. I let Mark know my little brother just turned 18, so he does not have an ID BUT- I have his birth certificate & his school ID to verify his age. He said nope, won’t work he can’t stay here. Provided no alternatives. Just expected me to loose $350+ or have my little brother sleep in our car. I shrug him off and say ok. My boyfriend comes inside to give his ID and first thing out of marks mouth is “go ahead and put a shirt on buddy”. We finish the check in process, are given no information about the property, rules, etc. he just hands me 2 keys and points in the direction of our room. We unload all of our stuff into the room & mark calls the phone on our room saying “I can either evict you & keep your money or you get your friend out of that room”. I explain once again, he is 18 and I have proof of this. He starts belittling me telling me this is standard EVERYWHERE and that I “should know this”- no ID no stay. I explain to him we have identification once again, just not an ID. I tell Mark losing my $350+ is not an option & I’m not sending my little brother to sleep in our car for 3 days. Mark starts laughing and says “good luck getting a tattoo with no ID”. I let him know it’s sufficient identification for everyone except motel 6 apparently because he’s already scheduled & good to go for his tattoo. Apparently something changed in 30 mins and Mark decided that was acceptable identification. Suddenly this mandatory requirement EVERYWHERE is not a requirement.
My bed had cigarettes holes in the sheets. Dead flies stuck to the walls. And our lock on our door broke. We had to get 3 sets of new keys before they called maintenance to fix our door. 3 times of driving to the front office. Maybe it’s because I worked in the business before, but the way we were spoken to and treated would never fly at any hotel I’ve worked at. Maybe the standards for Motel 6 are just as low as their property, I don’t know. I’ve stayed at other motel 6 properties in California, this ID requirement didn’t exist, the service & our room was CLEAN, & the property was well kept. Which is why I booked with motel 6 again. But lesson learned I guess.
All in all- the experience was ruined from Marks unprofessionalism.
I will say- there was a younger women at the front desk with blonde braids on our last day who made sure maintenance resolved our key issue and was so sweet & was doing a stellar job handling multiple situations at once. I didn’t catch her name, but she was awesome. The man in maintenance who fixed our door was also awesome and did a great job. Housekeeping was nice & courteous as well. They checked on us & gave us new towels. Those people deserve some...
Read moreDear Management Team,
Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Unprofessional Conduct and Substandard Conditions
I am writing to express my profound disappointment with the unprofessional treatment my family and I experienced during our recent stay at your establishment, Motel I-15 Stadium, in Las Vegas, NV. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and substandard room conditions we encountered were unacceptable and have left us deeply dissatisfied. I feel compelled to bring these matters to your attention in hopes that future guests will not face similar issues. On 08/30/2025, my family and I checked into your motel on short notice, understanding that it was a busy Labor Day weekend. Initially, we were assured by a front desk staff member that we could extend our stay if needed. However, shortly after this conversation, another staff member approached my wife in a discourteous manner and informed us that our room had been sold, requiring us to vacate immediately. This sudden reversal was not only inconvenient but also deeply frustrating, as it contradicted the earlier assurance we received. The manner in which this was communicated was unprofessional and left us feeling disrespected and undervalued as guests. As a result, we were forced to scramble to find alternative accommodations during a busy holiday weekend, which added significant stress and inconvenience to our situation while we await the completion of our home. While we understand the demands of a high-traffic period, the lack of clear communication and empathy from your staff was unacceptable. A more professional approach, such as advance notice or assistance in securing alternative arrangements, could have mitigated the impact of this situation. Additionally, we were extremely disappointed with the condition of the room we were assigned. The presence of mold and mildew was evident, creating an unhealthy and unpleasant environment for my family. This is particularly concerning given the health risks associated with such conditions. The substandard room quality further compounded our negative experience at your property. Due to these issues poor communication, unprofessional conduct, and unacceptable room conditions we will not be returning to Motel I-15 Stadium, nor can we recommend your establishment to others. It is disheartening to feel treated as though our needs and well-being were insignificant. We sincerely hope you will address these concerns to prevent other guests from enduring similar experiences. I kindly request a formal apology for the treatment we received and an explanation of the steps your management team will take to address these issues, including staff training on customer service and ensuring rooms meet basic health and safety standards. Additionally, I ask that you consider offering a refund or compensation for the inconvenience and distress caused by...
Read moreStaying at a Motel 6 I already went into it knowing it wasn’t going to be luxurious but liked the fact that we could access it easily instead of dealing with that huge hotels and elevators.however when we showed up and walked into our room we were instantly hit with a really strong smoking smell which the room was supposed to be non-smoking and I instantly seen how filthy our room was there were pubic hairs in the towels they provided for you which by the way were more like thin small rags Then actual towels stop Allah Ha ha ha there were other people’s hair inside of the bed that was supposed to be cleaned already and smelled like other people The floors had nail polish stain all over them as well as the bathroom counter and it looks like a three-year-old mopped the room and just mopped the filth the dirt and hair from one side of the room to the other making it pile up on the sides of the wall and in corners . By far the most unsanitary floor ive seen yet. The water pressure in the sink in the bathroom was more powerful than the one in the shower, speaking of the shower it was very disgusting as well The drain did not drain anything on top of the bathtub not properly being cleaned I was sitting in water that held someone else’s filth that had been left in there from previous people . I honestly felt better off sleeping in my car I can deal with cheap Quality because we are staying in a Motel 6 and not some luxurious hotel but I cannot deal with disgusting filth like we did! we had to find the nearest Walmart and go buy our own towels and sheets to go over our bed so that we didn’t even contact any of that nasty linen provided a candle and freshener because of the smell and rugs to walk on so that our feet didn’t get disgusting because we did have three kids with us and as soon as they walked barefoot they were instantly left with black feet! Also our key stopped working to get into the room multiple times so we had to go to the office to get it fixed .So overall I would say that was probably the worst experience for a hotel that I’ve ever stayed in and will not be recommending or staying there again. Im really disappointed that we paid what we did and were...
