We went to In-N-Out 2 years ago for the first time and loved it! This time... Oof.

Needed a late night dinner on a business trip and drove over. First off, the drive-thru gets wrapped around the parking lot, making it VERY difficult to leave if you dine in. We planned on eating there but changed our minds immediately after walking in. The entire restaurant smelled like sewage and a bathroom mixed together. The garbage cans were exploding with trash to the point where leftover food and drinks were spilling onto the floor. No one knew where the line to order started so people were just pushing and cutting in line. The floors were sticky and dirty. Kids were screaming at every table (no fault to the establishment). There were people literally laying across chairs and benches INSIDE sleeping.

I will give it to the workers, because they were a well-oiled machine! They did not STOP the entire time we were there and we were thoroughly impressed with the crew. We were there around 8pm on a Saturday night.

Upon getting our food, we ran to the cart to eat back at our hotel. I was honked and screamed at by someone in line for the drive thru because they thought I was trying to cut in line--when I literally walked to my car with food in hand.

The food stayed hot on the drive back which was nice. The burger, however, was bland and just overall okay. Fries were insanely salted (and I love salt). My lips were literally tingling at the amount of salt and my boyfriend threw his away.

It’s been 18 years since I had an in-n-out burger! 18 years! 17 years since I’ve been back in my hometown Las Vegas. In-n-Out Burger was the first meal I had after arriving!! It was so good! It’s the same as it was when I left. What I love about this Burger chain, Simplicity, traditional old school ways, vintage charm, same 3 menu combos.

Everything is made fresh right there. Hamburger patties are fresh ground beef formed that morning. Nothing is precooked or frozen and shipped from a factory. Beef is fresh, veggies fresh! French fries made from real potatoes at time of order and of course you can’t forget to order your burger ANIMAL STYLE!! Animal style is not advertised! It’s through word of mouth passed from person to person throughout California familial generations! If you’ve never heard of ANIMAL STYLE, you have now! On your next order request ANIMAL STYLE! It’s so good!!
