Recommended the franchise to a family member, and they had one of the worst experiences possible at this location. They ordered for take out through the app. The usual place I go to was unavailable, so they went to this specific location. When they went to pick it up, the location was closed (locked doors and no one inside). They took the money and even stated that order was completed 20 minutes afterwards. The day after, I called the location to try and resolve this. At 10:02am, It took 3 calls in order to speak to someone. I was told the manager has not arrived yet and would probably come in this afternoon. The employee said they'll have the manager call me back though, noting my information. At 12:01pm, I checked in to see if the manager arrived. Nothing. At 5:00pm, I called again and another employee told me the manager just left the location. This means that either the previous employee forgot to inform the manager of the situation or the manager forgot to call me back. This employee took the same information I gave already and said they'll contact the manager. At 7:00pm, I called again. The same employee responded that although the manager is not there, they agreed to make the original order immediately. I went to go pick it up, but the family member was extremely disappointed when the teriyaki chicken was overly burnt and the chicken katsu was super dry. Read moreI eat here a lot, and the food is good, but they seem to be both under staffed and have an issue with training staff properly. Wait times can be excessive, even for pick up orders. Not one time has my order been ready when they said it would. On this last order I arrived at the estimated pick up time and the person at the register couldn't find my order. It wasn't sitting on the counter behind him ready to go, so he just gave up. He started answering the phone and helping other customers without ever telling me the status of my order. Since it wasn't sitting behind him already completed, he seemed to think it wasn't his problem. One of the kitchen staff was brining other delayed orders out to customers and I had to ask them to find mine. He bring me a bag with just half my order in it. They had made the bowl I ordered and tied the bag shut without ever making the pot stickers. I had to wait even longer for those to get made while my bowl got cold. Once the potstickers were complete, they failed to give me the goyza sauce that is always included. They gave me packets of red sweet and sour sauce and the kitchen employee incorrectly tried to claim it was correct. He didn't even know what the goyza sauce was and I had to describe it to him. Read moreI stopped in here for dinner on Saturday night against my better judgment. I was really hungry and decided to stop at the first place I saw when I got off the bus. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl with veggies and white rice. The chicken was bland and flavorless, the veggies were overcooked, and the sauces they gave me couldn't save it. I had cream cheese rangoons on the side that were decent.
Customer service was almost non-existent here. The lady behind the counter seemed like she couldn't care less. And what kind of place doesn't allow you to swipe your card? Not every card has a tap or chip. At least the restroom was clean and the music was good. But that wasn't enough to make up for terrible food and service.
I felt like I got ripped off. I should have gone to El Pollo Loco across the street to eat for a lot less. I learned my lesson. I will never eat at Teriyaki...
