Schlotzsky's — Restaurant in New Bern

I ordered a specific item, which was pretty decent tasting, but the fact of the matter was the individual taking my order really placed blame on me when I was very specific of what I wanted. It’s just the way I felt about it. But here’s the caveat to the thing, I hate to throw the race card into this, but it seemed that when the white couple that had issues with their food the way it was prepared. It seemed like the manager came out and talked to them specifically. At first, I didn’t think nothing of it, but then another couple had an issue with their food and the manager came out to talk to them so where I’m saying the race part takes place is I’m Hispanic Native American, did the manager come out and talk to me about my order, not once not even acknowledged it. There was a young lady that was preparing sandwiches and when I asked about the mac & cheese that I was pretty sure supposed to come with my meal She act like I was bothering her and try to throw the conversation on to somebody else. So like the person that I am, I don’t like making a scene. I went to sit down and try to enjoy my meal. I then got up and decided to order some cinnamon rolls to go, considering they have Cinnabon cinnamon rolls there. I wanted to take some to my coworkers tomorrow morning. So I paid for them was given a number that they would call when they were prepared and ready to go. Well my number didn’t get called at all, as a matter of fact, several numbers got called After my number so I went up and again I spoke to the young lady at which time she said she would make them for me I told her I had two 6-packs of cinnamon rolls, she grabbed a box for two cinnamon rolls. I then proceeded to tell her that no ma’am, I have two 6-packs of cinnamon rolls. At which time she made a comment that oh that’s gonna take all that we have which was not entirely true, but just the fact that she said that I started getting a little upset because that didn’t have anything to do with the fact that I paid for these items and they weren’t ready. She started and then she asked another coworker to finish it because she says I don’t have time for this. I have other things to do so the other coworker boxed the cinnamon rolls for me. I’m not really want to complain most of the time I can let some of the stupidity and insanity just was by because it’s not worth it, but I just was made to feel like I was not important enough considering all the money I had just spent...

I specifically had to order the medium size sandwich to get the bacon cheddar bun. My sandwich arrived but not on the bacon cheddar bun but a sourdough bun. I took it up to the clerk whose suggestion was that they would give me the bacon cheddar bun and I would have to deconstruct the current sandwich and reconstruct it on the bacon bun myself. I asked how much did they charge me for the additional bacon on the bun which was 70 cents. I asked for my money back and it was a big deal to them. The manager called me today and he was just as rude as his employee. He gave the excuse that the young man who waited on me had just returned from a lengthy vacation or time off and he had limited staff. Plus, he did not know that the bacon cheddar bun was just a promotion. I’m a frequent customer. Love the food. Great staff. But, today something was really off! Walked in to 1 person working! Had a discount card which really threw him when he took our order. He did manage to get the order taken. He told us he was the only one there and the other guy was off doing something! We were there during an off time, 3:30 pm. After we sat down, suddenly 2 more workers showed up? One of the workers, a girl kept staring at us like we had done something wrong??? My husband got the smoky beef sandwich, I got flatbread and salad and granddaughter got kids pizza. The salad was gross! Strawberries were mushy and lettuce was brown.
