SO we got there eat around 5pm Monday the 23rd...... got seated right away... ordered and got our salad..sweet waiter (Devon)..then we waited and waited and waited literally for 35 to 40 minutes and still no food, the waiter said there was a kitchen issue, and we waited about another 20 minutes....then a manager walked to another table with our food asking it if was theres,,,, they said no.. we caught the mgr and said it was ours...... but they prepared the wrong shrimp with the grilled chicken plate, should've been fried shrimp, my aunt doesnt eat grilled shrimp and was really looking forward some fried shrimp, she is almost 100 years old and this is a treat for her, so they put in an order for the correct shrimp....however,,, we kept asking people for tartar sauce, busboy, mgr, our waiter, then about 10 min later finally brought some LONG after she got her replacement fried shrimp.... by that time its cold, ya know... not fun for fried foods...... The waiter had orignally said that the ticket never made it to the kitchen and thats how it all started... but we got our salds in the beginning so that was confusing.... they shoud've offered to take my aunt's meal off or discount it at least,,, she was not enjoying everything getting cold for her treat before xmas dinner..... we have been there about 5 times before and really no problems... we like to forgive and forget, but now she would NOT like to go there anymore... I think if they would've offered to compensate, she may have changed her mind.... but old school people don't normally. We don't like to keep asking for assistance while dining, and well..... we should'nt have to......
Read moreI would definitely not call this a steakhouse nor encourage you to order a steak. Mind you it was about 4pm so not a prime/busy time and I was sat in a separate room when there was still plenty of tables in the main room. I'm sure it's to rotate their servers but it was to my detriment as I was not checked on enough. I ordered a NY strip med rare. Received med well and finally had to flag down someone else to request a correction (server rule...1st bite check back in). While my steak was being re-fired my server brought back my baked potato so I could have it while I waited but I would have preferred a whole new one with my new steak. By the time I received my steak my potato was cold and the steak was now rare. The manager asked me to cut it to ensure temperature and while it was still incorrect, I wasn't sending it back. I wish I would have taken pictures because the cook really needs to learn temps or use a thermometer. I also watched my server several times speaking to coworkers and just wandering in/out of the galley basically doing nothing. In the end I walked up to him to retrieve my bill and ask for a box. Needless to say, you get what you pay for and this is not a steakhouse. Very unfortunate. I think I'd be happier with a burger from this place if I'm back...
Read moreMy expectations were so spoiled when I got here. Let me explain. Sirloin Stockade in Taylor suggested we try their sister restaurant Montana Mike's since their location in Lockhart closed. It's was all over the ketchup bottle. So I figured ok it is just a different name but by the same owners probably I thought to myself. So I figured it's was the same type of food and a buffet. No I was so disappointed. It is a order and be served restaurant. A steak house restaurant. It wasn't the same. ☹️ I asked our waitress about it. She didn't know but said she would find out. That is the difference she said was the answer she got. The owner happened to be there but not who she asked. But Lindsey was an awesome waitress and made sure my first experience (not my husbands but he went as a kid) was a good one. She was so out of her way to tend to us and her other customers. We watched her. She made sure our order was what we wanted and kept our drinks up and made sure we were happy. I couldn't have asked for a better turn out to what I thought was going to be bad.
