Pass the Chicken, a recent addition to New Braunfels' culinary scene since July 2024, has quickly made a name for itself with its delectable offerings. During my visit, I indulged in the chicken tenders plate, and it was nothing short of delightful. The chicken tenders were perfectly fried to a golden crisp, boasting a juicy interior that speaks to their commitment to quality. Each bite was a harmonious blend of texture and flavor, making it evident that the preparation was meticulous and the ingredients fresh. Beyond the chicken tenders, Pass the Chicken's menu features an array of Southern-style comfort foods, including fried catfish, wings, and tilapia. Complementing these mains are classic sides like mac and cheese, potato salad, and for dessert enthusiasts, a delightful banana pudding. This variety ensures that there's something to satisfy every palate. The food truck is conveniently located at 826 Elliot Knox Blvd., right next to Fruition Fruit Blendz, making it an accessible spot for both locals and visitors. The staff's dedication to cooking each meal fresh to order is evident in the quality and taste of the food, and their friendly demeanor enhances the overall dining experience. Pass the Chicken offers a delightful culinary experience with its mouthwatering soul food and a menu filled with comforting classics. It's a must-visit for anyone in the New Braunfels area craving quality fried fare.

It’s very seldom that I post a review that is not positive. However, today, I must make an exception. I don’t know if it’s the Friday the 13th connotation or what, this place was not great. Everything except for the potato salad missed the Mark. We ordered the fish and chicken wings. The fish tasted old and the batter on the wings tasted very old, the lack of flavor was evident. the fries were yellow and looked like they had jaundice. No crisp at all. The green beans were so bad, you get half a scoop of green beans the smell upon opening the container was horrendous and when you looked inside, there were chips of a very cheaply made smelly, hot sausage link that was chipped up throughout. I wanted to call and ask for my money back but I did not. But I have to say that I could not write a good review about this place. It is a food truck and normally I love food truck foods. This one just missed the mark on every aspect, I also had the banana pudding, which had two small chunks of banana crushed up cookies and a large cookie biscuit on top. That was salvageable. I do not suggest the chicken wings or the fish when you go. As like us, you may be at the local pharmacy getting bottles of Pepto-Bismol. Maybe other items may be great on another day but today like I said it completely missed the mark.

Food truck came by my work. We have a limited lunch break so I was little disappointed that we had to wait for them to get set up and started. But the wait for my fish was well worth it! Only real complaint was that it really hard to hear my order number being called while waiting in the limited shade in the Texas heat. Otherwise I'd definitely give this food truck another chance to impress me.

I have had the pleasure of traveling over half the country…I enjoy fried chicken and BBQ. When I say I have had my fair share of fried chicken, it’s an understatement. I say that to say this, this is one of the best pieces of fried chicken I have ever had. It is seasoned really well, juicy and just all around good. It’s hard to find a good fried chicken place, but I will be seeking it out when I’m looking for good fried chicken. I also had the Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, and French fries. The Mac n cheese seems a little heavy on the sour cream, but was still good. The mashed potatoes were thick and flavorful, with a thick rich brown gravy (a favorite of mine), and the French fries were crispy. I will be going here again the next time I get a desire for...
