For healthy options tea and maybe latte. The rest is full of sugar for example the cocoa or Mocha comes in a gallon of chocolate milk no real dark chocolate or cacao. The coffees are good quality. The pastry look good not sure it is good natural ingredients. I paid parking on the street and I had 20 minutes left it was cold and I decided to grab a hot drink.
One girl working hard in the cashier, drinks, takes people to the restroom and refilling stuff. Course she doesn’t want to deal cleaning 2 restroom at the end of the night I don’t blame her. So she was allowing customers to use only one restroom. Some customers mind their own business and close the restroom lol then you see the customer calling the girl to open the restroom now customers waiting for her to finish the orders of customers for 5 minutes. You see people waiting at the cashier, waiting at the restroom, waiting for the orders. Maybe was only today but really not look good. I felt bad for her running back and for I wonder if she can get a break for herself to use the restroom or her 15 minutes breaks plus her 30 minutes if she works 8 hours or maybe the manager make their employees works on their breaks and don’t pay that time or don’t pay over time that can be a reason why she only let customers use one restroom cuz she has to over stay to clean 2 restrooms and not getting pay over time?
Management needs to place two people on holidays or get a pin pad for restroom. Because people spend about $20 dollars for two drinks and pastries want to use the restroom is funny people have to do line to use the restroom. I got ticket parking for being late 6 minutes that...
Read moreCommon Grounds delivers a solid coffee experience with some standout features. The coffee is reliably decent, it gets the job done without being exceptional, or afflicting severe acid burns. What arguably makes this place worth visiting is the distinctive atmosphere, featuring creative touches like natural hardwood stump seating and a warm, orange-toned interior that creates an inviting vibe all the while foreshadowing Halloween.
The service is the highlight here, earning a nod for their consistently friendly and efficient team. The space works well for both social gatherings and solo work/people watching sessions, with a thoughtfully designed layout that includes varied seating options and a well-organized pastry display.
The 'funky vibes' are definitely authentic, the interior design successfully blends modern elements with rustic touches, creating a space that feels both current and comfortable. The hardwood floors and natural lighting add to the welcoming environment.
While the coffee won't blow away serious coffee enthusiasts, the overall experience, particularly the quick service and engaging atmosphere, makes this a reliable choice for casual coffee drinkers and anyone already on the block looking for a pleasant spot to meet up or work.
Good for: atmosphere seekers, novice coffee drinkers, meetups, and remote...
Read moreI was greatly displeased with the customer service at this store. First, since the prices were not listed on the menu, I asked the staff about the price of a coffee and ordered a large size, paying the amount it specified. However, he gave me a small size instead. To be sure, I checked the sample size models at the register, and it was indeed a small size. I asked the staff to change it to a large size, but he responded, saying, "The large size is more expensive," and quoted a price higher than what he originally mentioned. Although I initially protested, I didn't argue further since it wasn’t a significant amount. Whether it was intentional or not, he did not apologize for giving me incorrect pricing and instead showed signs of irritation. I am genuinely surprised that a café is running such a dishonest business in this day and age. The coffee tasted entirely ordinary, and the atmosphere wasn’t bad. If you feel like having coffee, I recommend you go to the donut shop next door, Yale’s dining hall, or Starbucks, where you could get better coffee at a...
