If this place's food is like its dancing, get ready for their flavors to spin around each of your taste buds.

I'm sad to say that I haven't eaten here. I'd like to, but each person only deserves so much goodness in their life and doing so would send me well over the limit.

Maison Dupuy's Bistreaux has live music with dance events multiple nights per week. I'm a regular at the Thursday swing dance nights. Before I started dancing here on Thursdays I was, like you, a content mortal person, pleased with their lot. Since I started dancing at Maison Dupuy things have improved immeasurably. I will attempt to explain.

You know that feeling of fear you get when you're almost run over by a car? Or when you feel as if you're about to fall off a height? Those feelings are gone now because each night at 1:18am lightning strikes from the direction Polaris and enters my body through my solar plexus, sustaining my newfound immortality. I was taught how to receive these cosmic electric blessings during one of the free dance classes they offer before the dance events.

Remember the first time you fell in love? I feel that every day. No, I don't feel the first time "I" fell in love every day, I feel the first time YOU fell in love every day. Why'd you leave them? You could have made that work. Anyway, I feel the first time everyone else in the world fell in love, every since day, typically between 7pm and 8pm as that's when I'm headed to Maison Dupuy to go dancing on one of the best dance floors in New Orleans.

This place also has hotel rooms. Can't help you with that. I'm just here with tidings of dance, love, and immortality. Maybe someone at the front desk can help you...

The food here is amazing. The service is amazingly awful. I ordered steak that was to be cooked well done. When I received my steak it looked delicious, but when I cut off a piece I noticed it was cooked rare instead of well done. I waited about 20 minutes before my waitress came back to our table and I sent the steak back. While I waited for my steak to returned, I ate my tasteful sides that I really enjoyed. When the waitress gave me my new steak I came to find out that this time they gave me a medium rare steak. I told my waitress, and she acted like it was not a big deal. I was slightly upset and just asked for a check. The restaurant was almost completely empty and it took the waitress about 45 minutes to bring my party and I our checks. When I got my check it was shocked to find out after complaining several times they charged me full price for my meal. A meal that I did not completely eat, because of THEIR mistakes. Overall this restaurant has...

What a horrible experience with this bartender. He was clearly stressed from a bad day during the Jazz Festival. I wanted a shot of tequila over ice. He said they don’t do shots at closing. They he proceeded to give the guy next to me a shot of whiskey on the rocks. And then gave another patron three doubles on the rocks. I went back and asked him why he would not give me a tequila on the rocks. He went off on me about how rude Jazz Fest customers are and how he was hanging on a thread because he was so stressed out. Ok. Note to Managers - this guy needs help. Yes he is greedy and wants all the tips from a $3000 night. But don’t let him screw up the reputation of the bar. Cuz I come to NOLA a lot and I will never come back to this bar. Give your bar tenders a bar back so customers don’t have to deal with stressed out employees like this guy. You will be better off in...

My sister and I stopped in today for a small lunch after touring St. Louis cemetery No. 1. We loved it! The atmosphere was very relaxing and a bit refined. Our waiter was so polite and professional. We never had to ask for water refills or wait too long. The paintings on the wall really bring some life to the place, and it is just really nicely decorated overall. I ordered the Sangria with the fruit and berries side plate. Both were delicious. My sister ordered the fried oyster salad, which she liked and would order again. The chanterelle mushrooms were a nice touch, and the buttermilk dressing was tasty. Would definitely like to come again for dinner because the menu looks great!

Stopped in the bar, power off boutique hotel, on a Friday night when I saw a jazz combo playing and spent the rest of the evening relaxing there after a long work day. It’s off on the edge of the tourist area so much quieter than the overwhelmingly loud bourbon street. It was a lovely spot to sit and relax and the patrons were probably mostly hotel guests. It wasn’t crowded or loud or dark. The bartender was kind and attentive. He was happy to chat and talk about the area and sent people outside to watch when a second line procession went by. The music was amazing. We could chat at a mostly normal volume and still listen with friendly banter going back and forth. Loved it!
