We came from out of town. This was our first time here. We highly recommend this place. The place was clean. The restroom was clean, but there wasn't a latch on the door. So, trying to hold it closed while using the restroom was interesting. (The big stahl) lol From the moment we walked in, the manager greeted us and made us feel welcome. We had a large party, and we were willing to split up, but he made it work out so we didn't have to. Our server was Lakesha (I believe that's her name. I really hope I got it right. She deserves the recognition) She has only been a server for 2 months in her life, and you couldn't tell. Normally, I can spot new people, but she was on point with keeping drinks up, communicating, and checking on us throughout our meal. The only advice I would give her from a customers standpoint that irks me is to get in the habit of not placing food or drinks near small kids unless the parents say it's OK. She set the 15 month olds gumbo within reach of him. She's new, and I know if that's the only thing I would critique her on, she's going to make a lot of money in this industry! She also made great suggestions and was up front about what she thought about things. It helped me lean toward trying something new, so I appreciate that. The food tasted good. My husband had the blackened catfish. He said it was good, but it wasn't blackened enough in his opinion. He'd give it a 4.5/5. I had the country fried steak. I'd give it a 4/ 5. It was good, but I felt like they did need to season it more. Their jambalaya was good. I like spicy. It wasn't spicy. I'd give it a 4.5/5. The gumbo was good. We gave it a 4/5. The crawfish hushpuppies were something I had never had before. Those were amazing. 5/5. The blackened alligator is something we've never had. I can't have if it needed to be blackened more, but the flavor was on point! 5/5 for sure! My daughter got the French toast. It wasn't overly sweet like most French toast is. It was tasty. 5/5. My grandson had the burger. He ate it up, so I can only assume it was a 5/5. We tried the fried green tomatoes for the first time. It wasn't really for us, but my grandson liked it. We ordered the bloody Mary and got the buy one get one. We ended up buying a bottle of the mix to bring home. Overall, our visit was worth it. It's worth coming back to. We are hard critics. We judge hard bc most places don't season food very well if at all bc salt and pepper is not seasoning if that's all you're using.

Decent greasy spoon with good, homey, friendly service. It literally feels like you are walking up to your aunt's house, as the outdoor host was puffing away. NOT inviting and highly annoying to walk up to restaurant employees who smoke and further decrease and destroy your lung capacity when you are trying to patronize their establishment. She did put it out immediately and quickly seated us and she was extremely friendly. The Red Beans and Rice were decent. The rice was a tad undercooked but edible. A generous bowl was given. The pillowy biscuit was DIVINE! They have plenty if whipped butter and jelly packets to adorn the buttery clouds we inhaled. The Fried Catfish with Grits were again, edible but underwhelming. First, the Catfish seemed either extremely small or like one large one was cut into two pieces. The Grits were instant, which is highly disappointing for a NOLA establishment! We'd expect it from McDonald's, not DDs, even as an Express! Cheese were added and the granules were cooked sufficiently but they're Instant! Comes with a stiff Remoulade, which seems to be from a bottle. The Tarter does seem to be housemade, which was flavorful. They have a full bar but limited in offerings. The 2-for-1 includes the Mimosa, Bloody Mary and Hurricane. The Hurricane is powerful without ice. We also swapped out with Brasilian Rum, Leblon's Cachaca. Great Service from our Bartender from Serbia. He was cool, fun to talk to and treated everyone who entered like longtime friends.

If you're looking for a delicious, no-fuss meal in the heart of New Orleans, look no further than Daisy Duke Express. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm Southern hospitality and attentive service that made me feel right at home. The staff was friendly, efficient, and genuinely seemed to care about the customer experience, which added a personal touch you don’t find everywhere. Now let’s talk about the food—absolutely phenomenal! The breakfast platter was hearty and flavorful, with perfectly cooked eggs, crispy bacon, and buttery grits that hit all the right notes. I also tried the fried chicken and waffles, and it was nothing short of divine. The chicken was juicy and well-seasoned, and the waffle had just the right amount of sweetness and crunch. Portion sizes were generous, and everything came out hot and fresh. What really sets Daisy Duke Express apart is the speed without sacrificing quality. Even during a busy lunch rush, my food arrived quickly and exactly as ordered. It's the perfect spot whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or sitting down for a relaxed meal. In a city known for its amazing food, Daisy Duke Express holds its own as a must-visit eatery. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, do yourself a favor and stop by. You’ll leave full, satisfied, and already planning your next visit. Five stars all the way around.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to grab some breakfast and this place was highly recommended and had great reviews. We arrived and were seated immediately which was great as there were only 3 other tables with customers at them but it took over 15 minutes before we were attended to. The hostess came by about half way through and said “she comin ya’ll”. The waiter came over apologized and took our food and drink orders and then disappeared in the back again for more than 20minutes. I ordered a breakfast sandwich on a biscuit and my boyfriend got a brunch burger. Someone else brought out our food and they had my breakfast sandwich on toast instead of a biscuit as I ordered and when I told her it was supposed to be on a biscuit she then asked me “well do you want me to take it back?” My boyfriend’s brunch burger was supposed to have cheese, bacon, egg and a patty on it and it came out with no bacon or cheese. We had to send that back as well. By the time they brought both of our plates back out our food wasn’t even hot. Our waiter came out and apologized for the mix up then went in the back again and we had ask the busser once we were done eating for our check bcs our waitress was still in the back.

Overall, our waiter was not attentive at all and we had to search for her whenever we needed something when there were only 3 other tables with customers in the whole place. when the food finally came out it was wrong and then by the time it was remade and brought out...
