Let me preface this by saying I was so beyond excited to try this place, it’s around the corner from my house and the photos looked delicious. However, if I could give this place 0 stars I would. Upon entry Into this establishment my experience was undesirable. It took at least 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge me waiting for a table which then took another 10 min to actually be seated. It literally was if I was invisible and not as important as their other patrons (if you know you know). Once finally seated and able to order I then waited almost an hour for noodles and spring rolls which never came….the server apologized and let me know that my ticket was “misplaced” mind you no one else other than me seemed to have that issue. Working in the service industry I am very patient when it comes to matters like this, however the restaurant was not at all overly busy and during the hour not once did anyone check on me or see if I needed anything. The server offered to cover a portion of my meal and I waited another 10 minutes before deciding to leave all together (still never received my food). I’ve never had an experience like this and was genuinely shocked at the complete lack of regard. However like I said, if you know you know and I will definitely not...
Read moreUh oh. I hate to say it and I dont usually leave bad reviews but I love Vietnamese food and I was so excited to try this place (noodles are my love language) and I was so disappointed. A friend and I ordered takeout for lunch (service was amazing) and shared some rice paper rolls, a bun dish, and the Singapore noodles and we were so disappointed we didn’t even want to eat it :( All the meat was dry and flavorless and the bun noodles were extremely salty. Singapore Noodles were dry and stuck together. (We picked the food up quickly and ate it as soon as we got it inside so it wasn’t sitting long) Purple yam lattes were on point tho. New Orleans is FULL of amazing authentic Vietnamese food made by amazing Vietnamese people and sadly this did not compare. And it was extremely pricey - $80 for these three dishes and two lattes! I didn’t know the restaurant was a chain/replica of a restaurant in Austin until I got curious and looked online. I don’t think I’ll be...
Read moreWe stumbled upon this Vietnamese place because the one we originally wanted to go to was closed when we got there.
We ordered the chicken meatball pho and fried shrimp sticky rice bowl. One of the pho was missing NOODLES.. what..? How?? So when we brought this to their attention they brought it to the back and took another 15 minutes to bring it back to us. We were pretty much half way done with our food by the time my friend's pho came back. Isn't decent customer service at least an apology for the delay in this type of situation? No apologies. Just brought the food back out and walked away.
Oh I can't even - with the taste of the food. I came here because I just really needed some nutritious pho broth but I've never tasted pho broth this bad. And the sticky rice was more like hardened day old rice.
Don't bother coming here if you want good Vietnamese food or good...
