We visited this cute little shop during our Christmas trip to New Orleans because it was a quick walk from my husband's mom/childhood home... just 1 street over and 2-3 blocks down. Perfect location for a walkable neighborhood.
We thoroughly enjoyed our purchases and went twice in 3 days before leaving for Indiana. The quiche is the best I've tasted in a long time across 6 states! It's tasty alone, but the pickled red onions and cornichons were a great pairing. šThe chocolate croissant was also delicious as it isn't made with bitter dark chocolate but a sweeter dark chocolate. The croissants are sooo buttery and perfect. My husband ordered a breakfast sandwich with andouille sausage and goat cheese and a few other ingredients, and it was an amazing flavor combo. The almond croissant filling is more like a pastry cream, and when I ordered a cold cappuccino it was made with Chantilly cream! š I make a New Orleans style Chantilly Cake for my customers in Indiana, so that made me very happy. š¤ Do not expect Starbucks style coffee when you order here (or most local coffee shops in New Orleans). Your coffee will be served unsweetened and may startle you a bit at the first sip. But after adding my choice of sweetener, both the caramel latte and cappuccino were great! My husband got a STRONG espresso in a tiny mug, and he was very pleased.
We interacted with 4 different employees, including 1 lady from the kitchen. All, plus the owner (from Paris), were extremely nice and helpful. To top it off, the aroma coming from the kitchen makes you want to stay there all day!

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe went there for coffee and a couple croissants on Friday morning. The coffee was delicious. I got an Iced Latte, the coffee they used was dark roasted and delicious without the typical bitterness. Very good.
The regular and chocolate croissants were both absolutely delicious. Light flaky buttery goodness without being overly sweet. Very tasty and delicious! I can't wait to try their sandwiches.
The staff was warm and friendly. They were super eager to help us. They have all the different milks to accommodate any dietary needs.
The atmosphere is super cute!
As always when a new place opens up it's going to take time for them to find their rhythm. I am very excited to have this new neighborhood spot.
My only problem is people in our neighborhood need to keep this place a secret. We don't want Lakeview riff raff coming to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love Le Ponce. I treated myself to a quick breakfast on my birthday at the beginning of the month. I love their new expanded menu. I preferred the full English. It was delicious with the full strap bacon. Only criticism was there were no mushrooms and the tomato wasnāt cooked. Still delicious though, and the only place I know of in NOLA metro you can get a full English and proper hot cup of tea. Their pastries are consistently delicious and Iām so happy to see them expanding their breakfast menu. Theyāre a part of the Degas group and itās so great to have a āLe Ponceā aka āspotā for gentle mornings in the...
