98K Hamburger & Fried Chicken — Restaurant in New York

If I could, I would give this place ZERO stars. The worker working with blonde hair is extremely rude and racist. I ordered food on the machine and was waiting for the food to get ready. I was looking thru the window and noticed he was about to make my sandwich. I noticed he wasn’t wearing gloves and was just scratching his neck and then started breaking lettuce to put in the sandwich. I requested if he could remake the sandwich and wear gloves. He did not want to do that and kept saying I washed my hands. Another person from the back came and told him wear gloves and remake, which then he did. But he was quite upset about it. Then he brought the food to the front to hand it and goes you need to tip. We said sorry… he goes yea tip tip. I said I am not tipping for anything. He gives the food over and very rudely says don’t come back again. I said sorry… goes yea go go don’t ever come back again. Then he was rude and extremely obnoxious. I will not recommend this place. One for cleanliness purposes because the least you can do is wear some gloves and the worst part of it all was his behavior. I will definitely be reporting them to the department of health because this place is dirty and food is being made disgustingly. It killed my whole appetite and mood. Also, just an FYI I had spent about $40 on food here and did not eat a single thing. The other man was nice I am guessing he was the owner but did not speak English at all and just kept saying sorry because he did not understand what was going on and the employee kept translating and lying about what...

Even though most of the fried chicken and burger places my wife and I love were closed on Labor Day, this place was still open! I even called to ask if they were open! The man who answered the phone was very enthusiastic and told me they were open that day and their hours! I couldn't wait to order a whole roasted chicken. When I arrived, the place was quite crowded, and everyone seemed to enjoy the atmosphere (including me). It was very clean, and I saw the man come out to turn on the air conditioner, which was great! It was a hot autumn day after all. When I asked if my order was ready, the staff was very patient and said, "It will be ready soon. You can sit down and relax for a few minutes." It made me feel that I was valued, even at a small burger place! The roasted chicken was perfectly cooked and the flavor was the best I've ever had at any roasted chicken place! Every once in a while, I like a change. Popeyes is very good, but what if there's something better, lol. A student of mine recommended this place to me. There is a10% discount for students with I.D.

Anyway, I went, but didn't get #1 or #3 as recommended. Instead, I ordered 8 piece chicken, fries, and onion rings. The mixed chicken they offered was only dark meat, legs and thighs. That's alright by me, my preference actually. For those for whom it's important, the chicken is certified halal. The quality of the poultry was very good and very juicy. Healthy chickens, lol. It was the spices and seasonings that were not to my taste: cumin, cinnamon, nutmeg. Those brown spices are what my palate tasted. So, if you like the Chinese fried chicken in those Chinese fast food restaurants, then you will love, love this! It's definitely a step above. But,that's not for me. Popeyes, here I come again! P.S.
