Howdy, I just wanted to compliment the staff on 10/19/2024 at 7PM, young lady and guy, gave me replacement cake slices which I just bought earlier (about 2 minutes ago). I walked out the door and possibility a few steps, a lady in orange or pink jacket coming in the opposite direction stepped into my lane and grab my shopping bag with pastries and flung it into the street. I was in a state of shock and quickly recovered - I yelled at the lady, but she was quickly walking away. She was either mad or mentally disturbed. (Prayer for her if you read this far).
I didn't want to leave the cakes on the street which was squashed and bag ripped. I went into Angelina's again to dispose of it properly. They asked what happened and shocked at my explanation. The strangest thin was I don't think anyone saw this happen unless there were cameras around. There were people in front and behind me walking away and not coming in my direction. The sideway across did not have anybody walking.
They offered a replacement. I said it's not your responsibility to replace it. I was already out the door with my purchase. I was going to just take the $21 loss. I was bringing the cake slices as a birthday warming to my sis-in-law. Thank you for the replacement.
Angelina's Paris on Lexington Ave, you made my day and I hope this review will bring you much more business for your kindness.
I am waiting for a pictures of the cake slices from...
Read moreThe Coeur Fleuri (Flowered Heart cake, $11.50) pictured in whole and in part, was disappointing. I was hoping for a cake that I could give a five star rating. Instead, I could only give it a rating of two stars. The printed appealing ingredients (see photo) did not match the flavor anticipated. Before buying the Coeur Fleuri cake I asked the young lady behind the counter what the dominant flavor of it was, she said chocolate. From my sense of taste, the dominant flavor was a very mild coconut flavor. She seemed to know only the ingredients and nothing more about it, indicated by her lack of ability to answer another question I asked her about the same cake. I also tried their "Trocadero," a rectangular milk chocolate piece of cake (pictured). I tried it at room temperature rather than at the temperature it is sold at. Unfortunately I did not...
Read moreI recently visited Angelina Paris and tried two of their desserts: the Millefeuille Framboise and the Cheesecake Cassis Myrtille. Both were exceptional!
The Millefeuille Framboise was a delightful combination of textures. The crunchy caramelized puff pastry perfectly complemented the tangy, sour raspberry cream. Every layer was crisp and buttery, making it a decadent and refreshing treat.
The Cheesecake Cassis Myrtille was equally impressive. The cream cheese mousse was light and airy, paired beautifully with the blueberry compote and the subtle sweetness of the white chocolate biscuit. The blackcurrant gelée added a tart finish that balanced the richness of the cheesecake.
Overall, both desserts were refined and full of flavor, making Angelina Paris a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth. I can't wait to go back and try more...
