I'm not Vegan and I thought the food was amazing. I had a hard time understanding what the woman behind the counter was asking me but we figured it out. The falafel pita sandwich was amazing. The pita was handcrafted, fluffy, soft, and perfectly cooked. The falafel was seasoned well, with a subtle kick, moist, and had a yummy penetrable crunchy exterior. The spicy sauce was great and definitely had a kick. All of the add ons that come with the sandwich were perfect. I would absolutely come here again. They even accommodated our large party, though there weren't seats left for any other guests. Fast service and dining, perfect for a time crunch when you need to catch the subway and don’t have time to sit and dine. I believe there are about 9 or 10 seats total inside. There is also a cute market next store that patrons can visit to help stay warm during the winter season. If you like falafel you should definitely try this place. But even if you don’t, it will make...

This is a fantastic new addition to a neighborhood desperately in need of some powerfully delicious healthy/vegan options that aren't point-and-shoot salad bars serving some lame iteration of a wilted salad. This is probably what Guy Fieri would call flavortown, USA -- the spices and attention to quality are nonpar. The eggplant sabich was lightly fried to perfection and laid on a healthy bed of quinoa. It was accompanied by a wonderful medley of side dishes: silky smooth hummus, a refreshing cucumber and tomato salad and side condiments. Every single bite was a delight -- and do not miss out on the complimentary pita. It was perfectly charred, chewy yet still pillow-like, and arrived still warm! I did have to supplement my meal with my own hot sauce but I personally like my food to err on the spicier side - no biggie though! Tamam is a quarantimes GEM and I look forward to sampling the entire menu...

We had the BEST meal here, and will definitely be back.

Highlights: Food is made to order, so keep that in mind as far as timing, but it was still warm despite usordering it to go and walking 5 blocks home The eggplant, falafel and pita bread were the best we’ve had anywhere, hands down. Please try all of those. Service was friendly, which is huge for NYC The mango sauce was surprisingly our favorite sauce! It had lemon and something spicy, so it was acidic instead of being sweet.

Notes for next time: We didn’t love the cauliflower as much compared to the others, likely because the spices seemed to include yellow curry powder the green spicy sauce is definitely spicy, so have it on the side if you usually don’t go above a medium in spicy foods. It’s a bright, almost chimichurri/...
