Another Country is now BELTANE — Restaurant in New York

What a great find. A friend recommended this place which was recently opened. If you have been in NYC for awhile - this was the old Chat & Chew location (oh how I miss C&C mac & cheese)

Atmosphere - really cool, minimal vibe with great music playing. The music was a bit loud but over all really great vide to catch up with a friend.

Cocktails - Very good and not outrageously priced. I wouldnt say they were super strong. I had 3 drinks and should have been much more tipsy than I was but still quality.

Service - Attentive and available when needed but not pushy nor did they try to rush you out.

Food - We only had french fries and they were good. Food menu is snacked based

Overall, I would recommend and def would return. Didnt take a lot of pictures as I was to busy catching up...

The bartender stole my airpods. And overcharged my card. I called my bank and stopped the payment. Iwent back to get my airpods because the location said it was there and they said that they don't have them. Then the airpods ended up in Brooklyn close to 18 Ave. Then went right back to this bar. Everyday it moves back and forth. A month later!!! I still do the location to see if my airpods still can track and it still does. At the same location. When I went to ask and told them the airpods are there they told me leave or they're gonna call the cops! Please be careful with your belongings. THE BARTENDER(S) ARE THIEVES!!! They are only nice to get tips. And if you are drunk they will overcharge, so please be careful and cautious...

I really like this spot— great music and interior— but I cannot speak on the recent changes except that I was quite fond of the name “Another Country”. It had quite a cosmopolitan ring to it, so I’m sad to see it go.

Service is typically very good and quite tolerant of large groups. Though I have to mention that when I ordered an amaretto sour, barely a mixed drink, not only did the bar tender not know how to make it (asking if I wanted egg white), it was vastly overcharged. It felt quite silly, in my opinion. However, I would be remiss to give them fewer stars since the typical servers are very friendly and good at what they do.
