Arnie & Ebony Catering LLC — Restaurant in New York

I’ve known Ebony for 8 years. I came to Ebony as a paying customer to cater my baby shower event because I KNOW she & her sister cooks well. A few days before my event Ebony called me to say her sister booked something else not knowing my event was on schedule and only she would be able to fulfill partial of my order. On the day of my event the food arrived late, cold, and undercooked. She did not serve the food as we agreed on. She literally dropped the food off, told my sister she’s not serving and left. At the end of it all, regardless that we know each other I’m a paying customer I’m sure if we didn’t know each other she would have provided her best customer service. I booked in a timely manner, the deposit was secured, and never asked for a discount however I did ask for a difference in remaining balance when she informed me that she couldn’t fulfill the entire order because why pay for something I’m not getting. Again we know each other but this is business. But this is why you don’t do business with those you know. & I told her I’ll be leaving a negative review & this is definitely the end of that...

The food was delicious and well seasoned. So far I’ve had fried chicken, shrimp,fish, ribs, macaroni & cheese, yams and potato salad. There’s so many more things I want to try from them as well, certain days they have specials so ask about them when you visit. The portions are plentiful and well prepared. I gave a low rating for the atmosphere due to me meeting the food truck on 149th street and morris Avenue which is a very depressing neighborhood. I recently tried Arnie’s & Ebony’s Soul Food. I ordered the Fried Shrimp with Mac & Cheese and Potato Salad. I wanted the Yams but they didn’t have. The shrimp was good and well seasoned. The Potato Salad was good. The Mac & Cheese was a little cold but didn’t taste bad. I would try it again to hopefully get warmed Mac and try the yams. For $20, my Mac & Cheese should be the right...
