This has been our family go to place for the past 10 years, we were some of the first people to return after Covid and I had a my 45th birthday here with my family. We are locals and have given this local business tons of our business. However, after our experience tonight we will never go back and will no longer recommend it to friends. My husband was waiting with my 7 yo daughter for a table and was ignored by the front staff for 15 minutes, then told they would have to wait to be seated, as they were waiting on me, which is understandable. Then after trying for 10 more minutes to get the staff's attention he asked if they could be seated as 2 (as I was going to skip dinner so they could be seated), and was again ignored, then gruffly told no, there were no available seats. When I arrived, we were seated, in the back where there were many open tables. My husband was thrown by the way the rude way he was treated and tried to speak with the manager. Unfortunately, the manager, who should be present to make people feel welcomed and comfortable, did not listen to the whole story, interrupted my husband to repeatedly say they can't seat a party until everyone has arrived, which was not even the point, as my husband had tried to ask to be seated as 2. The manager had no intention of listening to us, but only to talk over us by repeatedly saying they only seat full parties. The fact that a manager, who is present to create a warm, welcoming environment and trouble shoot issues, cannot even listen, is laughable. I've never met a more arrogant, disgusting person in hospitality. Speaking with him made me sad for Arturo's which certainly prides itself on being a neighborhood business. Sadly their true colors showed...

Walking around Manhattan and stumbled across Arturo's at 9:45 on a Thursday night. Walked in and figured there wasn't going to be any room but I was pleasantly surprised that a booth was open. Sam our server was a ball of positivity!!

I asked her what her go to was and ordered it up. Pepperoni pizza, and penne with vodka sauce. We had the booth that was closest to the band, and the kitchen where I could watch my pizza being tossed into one of the remaining coal fired ovens in NYC!!! Read that again One of the LAST coal fired pizza ovens!!! This right here made my heart flutter, I shed a tiny tear in awe of this oven. I knew this flavor was going to be unlike any other I have ever had in the city.

I got my pasta first. This enormous bowl of carb happiness was just the tip of the iceberg. After the first bite I immediately tried to figure out how I could funnel this entire bowl into my face hole. Yes it was that delicious!!

About 5 minutes had passed of me shoveling this delicious bowl of carbohydrates and delicious vodka sauce when my pepperoni pizza came out of the coal-fired oven. This pizza was a thing of beauty. If Mona Lisa had a paint brush, she would paint this pizza and hang it on her wall.

When Sam came back over to the table and asked if I liked everything I couldn't even speak. I just looked up at her with my tiny tear on my cheek and she knew. Oh yeah she knew.

Thank you to everyone at Arturo's you are a staple. You are a landmark. You are the pinnacle of Mount Pizza with that coal-fired oven and that deliciousness. And thank you very much for your...

Free customer service tips (from a customer): first, before taking the others that came after taking the ones that are before (it sounds pretty logical but with sat there 10 min and 2 tables filled before us, and the lady took their orders first.).

Second, the waiter should talk to the customers and introduce them to what to expect (for example: hello I’ll be with you today, are you ready to take the order? Oh, should know we’re busy right now so the current waiting time is about 1 hour for a pizza… (and after that take the opportunity to make an offer) are you sure you want any appetizer before your pizza?.

Third, is the waiting time is 1 hour at least going to the table after 30 minutes and say (hey! Everything ok over here? Do you need anything maybe more water or something else to drink? Hopefully your order will be ready soon!) but not nothing of that happen we just sat over there for an hour waiting for a pizza seeing how people that came after us had they orders served.

Four, just out of respect if someone complaints to the manager about something they should say (Oh! That’s not possible, sorry for the inconvenience, will work on that! (even if they don’t do anything they should say it, out of hypocrisy but it works on the client.)) and no, that didn’t happen he just said oh you have and hour waiting oh the problem is that the lady took other orders of people that came after you first, you want to cancel your order ? no even an apology, definitely this place would benefit for a customer...

#ny #nyc #novayork #novayorkevoce

Our reviews had over 37 million views last year. We do not get paid we just love to eat and have fun. We really love Arturo's. We love coal oven pizza because it cooks at a temp higher than wood oven pizza. This makes the crust very dry and very thin which makes it taste great with a good sauce and cheeses. Pizzas are big and yummy. Meatballs are great and so was the pasta. Great place, fast and easy to get a table most times. Make a reservation to be sure. Weekends and some weekdays they have a person playing piano which is nice. The back room is quieter if you want that but we like the noise. Check out all of our reviews. If we do not like it we do no review it so all of the ones you see are places that are fantastic. Follow us if you like. We had over 36 million views so far this year and we thank you for that. We don't get paid, we just love to eat. Be sure to click on "RobH" at the top of this review to see all of them and to follow us if you like good food and FUN.
