this bookshop is crammed to the gills with BOOKS! a West Village used bookstore packed full with so many books—stacked and shelved everywhere. it’s a tight squeeze and not a ton of people can be in the shop bc of the limited square footage. the store is fairly organized by genre / type of book but a little messy. anything from fiction to nonfiction to comics + graphic novels can be found here—really it’s just lucky of the draw if you’re looking for something specific or popular. the prices are slashed down and are fairly wallet-friendly versus typical retail. staff can only be so helpful finding books here bc there is no electronic cataloging…so you just have to search the shelves and cross your fingers when you’re looking for a tome. the books are in fairly good condition and you’ll find off-the-beaten path reading materials. so read and feed your mind—plus you’re helping a local biz.

A beautiful gem hidden in one of the hearts of the city. Cannot believe we bumped into it late at night, and it was still open. Wonderful selection of books, we stopped at every other pile because this or that title would grab our attention. The prices are very low – and all the books are news. The atmosphere is very family-like, you can feel that for the person who owns the store, it is a true passion to seek great titles and being them to the store. Bought two books I’d wanted for a long time, both in marvellous editions. The place made our evening. Definitely worth a visit.

Our group of 3 went in and had such a lovely conversation with Jim, the store owner. It's one of the longer standing business in West Village (30+ years) so I'd highly recommend a visit. Jim has a great selection of books and as the name suggests, he would gladly put books written by wall st bankers donated to him in the true crime section of the store. Pictured is Alex, if I remember her name correctly, she is cute and feisty so I'd suggest leave her be!

Nice selection of books from quite a few genres. (Also an adorable cat that loved to be watched and not touched)! I found a great book that I had never heard of in the fiction section for only $5.50, and it's hardcover! I love to support small business, and the prices were definitely fair and there's definitely some great deals. Recently stated that the "staff" was a bit rude but the owner explained this and is obviously very passionate about books and his business. Definitely stop in to browse a bit, and you might find a gem you didnt know you needed! (They also have some popular YA fantasy and popular fiction if you're looking to delve into either). Thank you Jim...
