If you love average food, meh service, and identity theft, look no more!
Don't be fooled by space indoors on a Sunday.
We left a card behind the bar and asked to pay with it at the end of the night. We waited half an hour to get our card and to sign the receipt, asked two separate people. Finally checked online banking saw that the card had been charged. We asked for the card and they had the nerve to say we had it and left a $50 tip. The signature on the receipt didn't match, and they tried to convince us that we had paid and left that much of a tip and taken the card. 4 people in our group as witness - we did not get the card/receipt. Perhaps they could number the tables to avoid giving someone the wrong card, or they could check that the signature matches the card. OR, maybe they could NOT take a 50% tip, steal a customer's card, and then try to convince us that it was our fault. It seems like they thought they could pull a fast one - preying on guests who were enjoying some beer.
They wouldn't admit to giving someone else our card. They didn't make any attempt to rectify the situation or accept blame - no call the next day to say they had looked into it or called the contact info they take off guests when seated. The first person we asked to pay disappeared before she came back with the card, so it kind of seems like she left herself a big tip and made off with the card. Either way, the lack of accountability was really damning. We spent an hour trying to resolve it and managed to not go mental, but it's pretty shocking.
Apart from that, I wouldn't recommend the brunch and definitely avoid the coffee. Make sure you ask for a glass if you want anything to drink. And don't dont be afraid to all order a drink, because taking an order for a table of 4 can be a little bit difficult sometimes apparently. Most importantly - check what they charge you and grab your card if they haven't...
Read moreIf I could give a half star I would. I called on New Year Eve at 2pm and asked about Admin fee. I was told that It will be "$40 to go in and there will be complimentary Champagne for NYE." I arrived at 9pm and around 11:30pm tried to get what they called "complimentary Champagne" and the Bartender said it was NOT included. I went back to the reception and asked, they said "no it was not included". So I was fine, maybe just some wrong information, let me pay for it. At that time, the Blonde Bartender about 5,7”tall said, “I am going to pay for these two champagnes for you, It is on me, don’t worry about it.” I said “thank you”. By the time I get the receipt, I saw two champagnes on the check. Of course, I asked why, she asked me to wait and take it out for me. About 2 mins after another lady stood next to the Blonde Bartender and said “I am the manager, how can I help you?” Then at the same time the Blonde Bartender said “you bought it, so the two champagnes are on here.”…….. I want to clarify something….
I did not want to argue and explain myself after the NEW Year Celebration and It was so loud inside. BUT I AM 10000% sure I WILL NOT go back and I will strong encourage people...
Read moreIf I could give this place 0 stars then I would. The manager Jessie, and her entire staff are rude, and were not helpful to me and my significant other.
This bar requires each bar tab to give in an ID and a credit card to start a bar tab. Upon checking out, the bartender Christopher failed to give back ID only a credit card. The next day, We had to travel 2 hours back and spend $20 to get from New Jersey to Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The bar failed to recognize that this was Christian's fault, they offered us 2 free drinks said that was ALL they could do while and we watched as the server Kelly offered (5) pickle back shots to a table of nice men and we couldn't even get something more for our transit of two hours for something that was the establishment's fault.
Jessie blamed the entire encounter on us, said that we were looking for something more, and said that it was our fault. Jessie's response said:
I also understand, thru the tone in your email that an apology wasn't all you were looking for and I'm not sure what more you could want. Yes, people make honest mistakes and it is possible that the server did't give you your ID back. However, in my experience, it is more often that the guest takes the credit card off of the clip board and forgets his/her ID. Neither which can be proved at this point and neither of which have a reason to be defended at this point in time. Just please understand that there are two sides to every story and it's my job to be fair on all accounts.
Cheers, Jessie
