Disappointing Experience at The Gutter, Williamsburg Brooklyn
I recently visited The Gutter in Williamsburg Brooklyn, hoping for a fun evening of bowling with friends / staff. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the experience. From the moment we arrived, we were met with a series of issues that marred our evening.
The bartender was physically attractive, but a bit rude. Her unpleasant attitude made us feel unwelcomed. It was evident that she had no interest in providing good customer service, as she paid little attention to our needs and seemed more focused on her own disinterested demeanor.
To make matters worse, Lane 6 repeatedly gave us trouble with the pins. It seemed as though the pins were malfunctioning or misaligned, resulting in frustrating disruptions to our game. We had to call for assistance multiple times, which further interrupted the flow of our game and added to our overall dissatisfaction.
The combination of an unresponsive bartender and faulty lane equipment significantly hindered our experience at The Gutter. It is disheartening when a supposedly enjoyable activity turns into an ordeal due to poor service and technical problems.
Given the multitude of bowling alleys in the area, I would strongly recommend considering alternative options before choosing The Gutter. A night out should be a time for relaxation and enjoyment, but my visit to this establishment left me feeling frustrated and...
Read morefriend and i went in there for a drink tonight. had my bicycle so asked if we could park it inside cause i've had my bike stolen recently. bartender said yes. we ordered a round and his manager came in hot and told me i had to move my bike. if you've been there before, you know that it's a huge space. and tonight, there was no one. she was freaking out and said i had to move the bike. i was totally ok with moving the bike but asked her why because she was pretty frenetic. she said it was for security reasons even though there was a tremendous amount of space. when i asked for her name l, she said she doesn't give out her name even though she was the manager. she was asian in heritage and had short blonde hair. so at this point i'm pretty frustrated and am talking to my friend about her after i move my bike and am finishing my round. the bartender told me to get over it as he was listening to us. and i wasn't trying to be quiet because i wanted him to hear my frustrations. i'm not trying to be a dick but wished they could have handled the situation better. it's a customer service oriented business and they didn't really handle it well. i wouldn't got back there and feel that they are a bit entitled. but that's just my...
Read moreI work in customer service, and I can honestly say that I've never dealt with a more rude and blatantly disgusting staff. I originally emailed this business to book a party for a birthday, which on the website, allows for parties renting two or more lanes for 2 hours, to do so... After not receiving an email back, I called yesterday to see if I could speak with a manager or someone in reservations, the man put me "on hold" but just put the phone down, and clearly turned to whatever male manager was working and informed him of what I was requesting. I could hear them both chatting and could clearly hear the manager laughing and say "tell him I haven't checked all my emails and I'll get back to him". Today I called to simply ask if I could book the reservation over the phone. The woman who answered would not even listen to me, just kept saying "no we don't do reservations over the phone" Ok well I emailed and no one is getting back to me "'I'm sorry I can't help you" well is there someone who can? "no sorry I can't help you" continuously cutting me off and wouldn't even listen to me at all. Completely unhelpful, extremely rude... This place is a joke I get the "grungy" vibe of it all, but it doesn't meant the staff have...
