After looking up brunch spots close to 31st street (I live on Staten Island), I stopped in here yesterday morning around 10am, and was greeted by staff immediately. The place had a small area of outdoor seating available and wasn't extremely crowded; I was able to choose my own seating (I sat inside). The music was enjoyable and I was able to charge my phone right at my seat. Chill atmosphere with open space, and I was pleased to see it was different from your typical small, crammed up Manhattan restaurant! I thought I had to order through the app, but a waitress was ready to take my order herself which I thought was great being as I felt very welcomed. Not only did she check on me, but another waitress ended up serving me, and she was great throughout my meal also as she was consistently making sure I was doing well and assisting me if I needed. The man behind the counter (seemed to be in a position of authority but I'm not sure), making drinks, came around later to check if everything was good as well. Wish i got their names to give them a shoutout! All 3 were very helpful and wonderful to dine in with!
I ordered -a Mimosa which was great! especially if you like to taste the champagne a little bit. -a small Flat White which came with heart art on top from the barista and it also tasted delicious. and -a Brekkie Board. I'm someone who likes a bit of variety when I'm eating, so the half avocado and half yogurt (not the actual names of the items- im not doing it justice) was such a great choice! I know my waitress noticed me obviously enjoying the food when I started nodding at it like "YESSSSS SO GOOD!!!!"
I came here by myself to start a day that I thought was going to be difficult and not the best, but the staff, the food and drink, and the ambiance was exactly what I needed to jumpstart an actually very beautiful day. Thank you BlueStone Lane; I will definitely be back when I'm in the area! You were the start to my day, and you definitely exceeded expectations and brightened my mood! :)
I barely ever write reviews, but this place was...

Wow, what a gem! Bluestone Lane Coffee is the real deal when it comes to authentic Australian coffee culture. As soon as you step in, you're transported straight to a trendy Melbourne café.
The coffee is absolutely top-notch – their Maverick blend is rich and chocolatey, perfect for a creamy latte or flat white. But the true star is their ability to craft a genuine Melbourne-style coffee that'll make any Aussie expat feel right at home.
And don't get me started on the lamingtons! These little bites of heaven are the perfect accompaniment to your brew. The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, with a cool seaside vibe thanks to the wooden decor and hanging lamps.
The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, always ready with a smile and a chat. It's no wonder this place is a hit with both locals and Australian expats alike.
Families love it here too – there's plenty of space for dining both inside and out. And while the focus is on coffee, they also serve up some delicious Australian-style brunch options that'll have you coming back for more.
Whether you're an Aussie missing home or just someone looking for a fantastic coffee experience, Bluestone Lane is a must-visit. It's more than just a café – it's a little piece of Australia right here in the neighborhood. Don't miss out on this true blue...
Read moreI was here on March 21, 2024. Went to catch up with a friend for brunch. It was lovely to meet up my friend during my spring break.
She was a bit late so I ordered in the meantime a latte and an almond croissant. The almond croissant did not disappoint neither did the latte. Loved reading my book with these 😚.
As per the brunch I had a B.L.A.T.E. It was good. Delicious in fact. But the brioche bun was too big in comparison to amount of egg and bacon. In other words, not enough protein in my opinion to balance the carbs. Totally my fault for not choosing another item on the menu. But also, sharing that because it’s only an egg and two strips of bacon on the sandwich.
My friend got a smoothie and the brekkie board. (Pic)
Finally, the atmosphere was gorgeous. Low, soft lighting. However, in this colder weather, the room that Thursday was really cold and not sure whether the heaters were working. My friend and I were chilly throughout...
