There are plenty of coffee shops out there, but it's not easy to find a great place to get tea (bubbles or otherwise). Brew Memories fills that void in the Park Slope area.
Skip the food, get the bubble tea. I've had the regular Brown Sugar, Matcha Brown Sugar, and Thai Iced Tea. They also have Asian snacks like steamed buns, pineapple buns, and sponge cake (depending on availability) that are just a-ok. There is also a hot food menu. I've gotten the dan dan mian, and it was very average with not enough sauce to stir into the noodles (I'm Sichuanese, so yes I would know!).
I like stopping in here on the occasional afternoon for a sugar boost. There is a sitting area with tables and a set of couches as well as a small backyard. With free wifi + bubble tea, you'll often find high school kids camping out here with their laptops.
Only 2 gripes I have is:
The AC is usually way too strong in the back. Even in 80 degree weather, I find myself wishing I was wearing jeans and a sweater. I don't know how those kids do it, sitting there with their laptops: Call me a grandmother, but I couldn't sit comfortably for more than 10 minutes with the AC on full blast.
The tables aren't always wiped clean. They should be more attentive about this since it's not a great customer experience to have to wipe down a table yourself like you're at a food court.
