The employee/owner is very arrogant. He told me to use the lotto machine to check my tickets when I was sitting there for 5 minutes and some wouldn’t scan. “Go over there and use machine!” he rudely shouted. I also asked for price on an item and he also wasn’t nice about mind said price is on there. I work in large place across the street and I’d highly encourage everyone to walk a block further and support a different business. *I appreciate your response and accept your apology even know I still have a few discrepancies with how you “saw” the situation. As I work in an industry that is also public facing, I do not expect my customers to accept rudeness, arrogance and other demeaning behavior because I was having a bad day or have issues at home. To add, this is not the first time or first employee to behave rudely. That brings me to think the issues are deeper. We stopped to pick up an order. At that time a gentlemen asked for assistance with his car. He needed a boost. My husband said sure let me pick up this order that's when my husband asked me if I wanted a bottle of water from the Deli and the gentlemen said go get whatever we wanted I am the owner. He was so thankful of us helping him. He even said get some flowers. We did get some rich food from the Buffet and he went himself and got me a delicious smoothie. It wasn't about getting anything free it was more about how grateful and thankful he was. The humanity in his gestures, cleanliness and delicious food is the reason we would revisit this Deli. DO NOT BUY BEER HERE...they used to have a great selection, but my husband and I realized that they have a roughly $10 upcharge on their beer. For example the Bengali tiger IPA costs $11.50 at Mr Lime down the street. They charge a ridiculous $20.50 for the same 6 pack. Even the bodega across the street from them sells it for $14.50.
