First time I visited with a cold and got a hot ginger “tea” which is freshly pressed ginger and pineapple juice steaming hot aka sore throat salvation! There are sadly not many options in the heights & inwood for great bagels w/ lox etc. but they have some (pictured) on their avocado toast menu that hits the spot! The chicken and eggplant sandwich was on an excellent hero roll, supple and fresh mozzarella, pesto…all together it was really a superior sandwich. The lox sandwich was just as satisfying. Really nice multigrain bread, the menu said jalapeño aïoli, but I didn’t sense any heat from it - all in all a delicious well balanced sandwich, both served warm. Read moreHoly smokes, $18 for a small prosciutto sandwich with very little meat. The bread was fresh, as were the greens and tomatoes, but the single thin ribbon of meat was so skimpy I couldn't even taste it. For $18, I felt hungry and cheated.
The people were super friendly, I'm really glad to have them in the neighborhood, but they need to work out their portions. A person on the street asked me how it was. They too had heard the same thing - good food, not enough of it...
