I have visited this establishment several times in an effort to give it a fair chance, having dined here for both dinner and brunch on multiple occasions. While the food was generally good in the past, I have noticed a decline in quality during my more recent visits. Specifically, the steak no longer has the same flavor it once did, and the fries appear to be stale and lack freshness.
However, what is most concerning to me is the consistent lack of service and hospitality. From the beginning, I noticed that the two women who worked at the front, particularly the one who takes orders, have not been particularly welcoming or pleasant. There seems to be an ongoing negative energy from this individual, which contrasts with how she greets other customers. On the other hand, the bartender is usually very friendly, smiling, and welcoming. Despite always treating the staff with respect and tipping generously, my experience with the front-of-house staff has been disappointing.
What has led me to write this review is the feeling that there may be a bias in the way we, as customers, are treated. It is disheartening to feel as though we are not given the same level of respect or attention as other patrons. I have worked in customer service for many years and can certainly recognize when someone is being treated differently, and it doesn't leave a good impression.
As much as I wanted to continue supporting a local business, this experience has left me with no desire to return. It is unfortunate after being a repeat customer. I hope this feedback is taken into consideration for improvement for others because I am now choosing to take my...
Read moreI’ve dined here several times and it’s just so meh.
Overpriced, underwhelming, and slowwwww.
Why do we pay $15-$18 for a pancake filled with bananas and chocolate? Variations of fruit and sugar just don’t call for these prices.
The dinner menu items took forever after a staff warned us that “everything here is cooked fresh so it takes a while”…with an empty restaurant. There’s a difference between cooking fresh and doing your prep work ahead…
The 4th and final time I visited was with a group and was outvoted by children. I saw an apple&swiss cheese crepe option, expected sour green apples, thinly sliced and crunchy, as one typically pairs with cheese. Instead the apples were cooked mushy with sugar and cinnamon, more like applesauce.
Take your money elsewhere! For fine dining and wine, to Tinto Tapas around the corner. For sweet morning cravings, to Dutch Baby Bakery. For fresh, filling, fruity and savory options, to Cabrini juicery. For fast, family-friendly service, to Refried...
Read moreA great addition to the neighborhood, I come here on average at least once a week. It’s nice to have some classic French specialties so close to home. The food is freshly prepared, it’s fun to watch your crêpe being made. The menu has some crêpes for more Americanized palettes, those have made La Creparis a popular family spot as well as a date spot, solo diners are treated as well as are couples and groups. I look forward to continuing as a frequent diner. The menu has expanded a bit since my initial review to include lunch, dinner and weekend brunch items all of which are delicious. If you’re too full from the generous portions, leave a little room for a macaron, you won’t be disappointed. I find myself coming for lunch almost every day, the chicken baguette sandwich is my favorite lunch option and the pommes frites are sublimely delicately salted julienned with no need for ketchup, which is of course available but to my...
