I have been going here for months with absolutely no issue. I order a Barorness Grey with vanilla syrup, add sugar before it’s steeped, and then they ice it for me.
Today, however, was a nightmare. I repeatedly gave my order to no avail. The girl claimed she had only been working there for three days. I explained in great detail what I order and how it’s made. I always leave a 20% tip.
She SIGNED for me, charging my card, and proceeded to put a teabag in hot water. I explained yet AGAIN how it was made.
Another woman tried to explain that I couldn’t use their sugar using Google translate on her phone. I use more than the packets they have. They shrugged. I said fine, just brew the tea.
They did not add vanilla.
I get the tea and it’s magenta. I asked why it was magenta. They did not know what magenta meant. I said ‘pink! Why it pink?’
They said I ordered berry. This was after spending five minutes going over the Baroness Grey.
At this point, I asked to speak with a manager. They told me she was out. A kid from the back came out and told me to leave.
Oh, I left. And reversed the charge on my credit card immediately. You know, the one I never signed for in the first place.

Read moreThis place is cute if you’re trying to do a grab and go rather than a sit in service. Did a dine in for breakfast and got the egg cheddar fondue croissant. It was not worth it if you ask me. I was better off buying the egg and cheese on a croissant that was $4 less. It was good but it was not worth the $11 because I was still hungry after I ate it. You can go to the deli and get the same or simply make it at home. They should add some bacon if they going to charge more.
I think the healthier breakfast bowls options are worth the price more than the breakfast sandwich or even the other breakfast items. Also I tipped because we were dining in which I don’t if I’m grabbing a coffee. They didn’t even bring the plates to us, we had to get up and get them. The customers before us got their plates served but not us.
When I went last week they had a point system this week all of a sudden it was no longer working.

Read moreWhen they say Colombian cafe they aren't joking around with the coffee or with the vibe so don't expect to be in and out fast, this is not a quick service establishment, the food and the atmosphere are meant to be sat and enjoyed preferably in the shade of the umbrella outside on the patio area with a cafecito in your hand.
You should be prepared to sit and savor your beverage as is customary in many Spanish speaking countries. So if you're in a hurry or you don't like relaxing with your own thoughts this is not the place for you.
I frequently bring friends for a nice long sit down brunch or will bring my laptop to do work during the weekday as it's not too crowded and they have usually have outlets available.
The drip coffee, arepas, bistek sandwich, and the coconut smoothie are my go-to's and I appreciate the café authenticity with a modern...
