Went out with friends for the first time in a long time due to covid. Everyone except the little ones have already been double vaxxed for several weeks already and we were all still masked up and we sat in their outdoor garden. But enough about our outdoor dining preparation. Parking is a bit rough in this area because several streets were closed off due to Summer Streets in Brooklyn but we made it in there in time for our reservation to celebrate two birthdays with friends.

Service was amazing. We got Ivan and he was on top of things. He got all our orders correct, was super patient with our party of 9 including three hyper kids and I just say our experience there was exponentially better because Ivan and the rest of the staff there was super friendly, very aware of when we were ready for another round of drinks or when we were ready to move onto our next course. They were very attentive but didn't hover over us even though we stayed a tad longer than their 90 minute time requirements. They didn't rush us even though there was another reservation behind us and we really appreciated that respect they gave to a large party wanting to celebrate for the first time in a long time.

We ordered the burrata and mussels appetizers which were on point. They paired it with some charred olive oil bread and some focaccia as well and they were both really good starters.

For mains we got a couple of hanger steaks, ribeye steaks, and lamb parpardelle Ragu which were all accompanied with sides like garlic broccoli rabe, and truffle fries which were all really well prepared as well. The kicker is that their fries are topped with gravy and served kind of like pom frittes poutine. Not too heavy but an amazing pairing with the meat that were grilled to the right temperature s requested.

They have a good beer and cocktail selection though I was bummed that they didn't have the Watermelon Coulis that they had on the menu before and the desserts like Food of the Gods, which is basically a Molten chocolate cake topper with Hazelnut icecream and covered it hot dark chocolate and their Banafi Pie were all really rich and decadent. The hazelnut icecream was extremely delicious and had real bits of hazelnuts throughout - very light and super nutty tasting as if it were made of fresh Nutella if there were such a thing.

Overall, the food and service was amazing considering it was only out third time eating out in 15 months. This one definitely stays on the list as a repeat visit in the future. Thanks for the extra special service Ivan and crew, we...

Giving a really honest review about our experience here. We came for dinner around 7 pm as a party of 4 on Monday and were accommodated in the back garden. We wanted to order chicken and the waitress in a lovely manner let us know that it takes 35 min usually to get ready and as we were super hungry we decided to order ribeye and hanger steaks cooked medium. After 40 min of waiting we realized that we never even received bread to the table, and everyone around us had it. I had to stop one of support staff members and kindly ask for it, because our waitress never came to the table, was completely ignoring us and never even acknowledged the issue. All of a sudden some other staff member came to us and said just “2 minutes”, which I suppose was related to our food order? And we didn’t receive our food for another 15 min. Overall waiting time was an hour+. Nobody came and talked to us, nobody apologized. In fact, everyone was trying to avoid eye contact with us, because we obviously were upset about the food wait. Finally the food was dropped, and we were told that we can have drinks on the house. 2 of our girls ordered 2 more teas and another one ordered Aperol Spritz. We received only one Hugo spritz, which we never ordered. We had to remind to one of the staff members about the tea and then we finally got it. After we asked for a check and we received it with 20% gratitude added. They took off our drinks from the check (thank you) but bottom of the menu says that they include it only for parties of 5 or more. We had to ask to remove it. But why it was added at the first place, I still don’t understand 🤷🏻‍♀️

The food was really delicious, steaks cooked perfectly (a huge shoutout to kitchen) but the level of unprofessionalism here is really upsetting. I understand, mistakes happen and food wait as well, but it has be spoken about. Avoiding eye contact with your guests is a really poor hospitality. I personally will never go back to this place.

P.S I also attached the photo of our table, after it was “cleared” . We had to finish our tea with arugula and sauce...

My friend and I came here for an afternoon brunch - the food and drinks were pretty good - though not worth the 4.6 stars.

The ambiance and decor of the inside really did it for me - it’s styled between 20th Century French brasserie and American Western concept (booths, saloon bar, hooks, etc.).

The service is so-so. Nobody came to serve me in the first 10 minutes I was sat and waiting for my friend. I wanted a drink but I wasn’t able to get anyone’s attention, and it was only after some time that my friend arrived that we were able to order, even though there weren’t a lot of customers. Lots of hip young staff members talking amongst themselves behind the bar while you’re left waiting for service.

We got the Mushroom Melt and Two Eggs Any Style respectively. KThe melt was absolutely delicious with a generous portion of melted cheese on sourdough bread, and perfectly marinated and spiced oyster mushrooms. My sunny side up eggs were nearly completely well done, with no runniness, even though I ordered an over medium - which usually comes with the yolk runny. It was really like having a hard boiled egg over mushrooms over toast, where I was looking for the eggy component. Also, my dish came room temperature/slightly cold which is a bit unnerving for an eggy dish.

The side salad was perfectly garnished and seasoned which I enjoyed very much.

The Bloody Mary is excellent 👌🏼 amazing chili 🌶️ lime salt rim.

The prices are reasonable and we ended up paying $30 + tip individually including our dishes and drink, which is good for brunch in the area.

Might come back for a brunch catching up with friends. Also great for families and large groups as they have plenty of seating...

📍Sweetwater, Williamsburg Sweetwater is a must go if you’re in Williamsburg! We got the eggs Benedict and the grilled chicken sandwich (Alex said this was one of the best chicken sandwiches in Brooklyn). @bakeribrooklyn is their sister bakery and they serve a lot of their bread which is AMAZING. If you haven’t see our post on Bakeri, make sure to check it out. We will 100% be going back to try their dinner menu! #brooklyncafe #brooklynbrunch #brooklyneats
