Capri — Restaurant in New York

Since the previous owner passed away, I continued to visit this place. The workers are always friendly and courteous. I go there almost every night after work. Tonight after meeting the manager from the daytime, I will never go back there again. She's absolutely unprofessional, and has no idea what customer service is. I have worked retail for 6 years and now work in a salon (Japanese), so I know what good service is. The thing that got me is that I wasn't the only one she was so rude to. Another customer came in to complain about getting his delivery more than an hour late and missing items from his order. He also stated he will never return. I even spoke to all the employees and asked them if it's true or not that I am there almost daily. I feel bad for the staff that has to work with a person who feels they can bs their way into an apology. On the lookout for a new favorite restaurant. My third time there today. Initially visited the place for work. Was impressed with how clean their basement was. Floors were spotless, no odors, fridges organized and neat. A lot cleaner than the fanciest restaurant in town. Thats a place I would like to eat. The young lady(the owner) was very pulite, showed me everything I needed to see and than went upstairs where I ordered some food. You could see it was different from other places. Workers were well trained and professional. That young lady is very skilled and she rans a tight ship there. The food was fresh and very tasty and very reasonably priced. They have a nice dining room on the back for families. A true gem that place. Had a chance to back today. As always they make you feel welcome at the door. Took care of me quickly as I had to run. I think I gave enough reason for the well deserved 5 stars....

I walked into the restaurant as the only customer and ordered a $10 steak sandwich to go. Despite there being zero other customers, I had to wait close to 40 minutes for the sandwich. The staff apologized, but they didn't hesitate to hold long conversations instead of making the sandwich.

The sandwich itself was embarrassingly small (two thin and tiny pieces of steak in a hero) and almost inedibly chewy. Despite asking for medium wellness for the steak, it was cooked way overdone anyway. Despite specifically paying extra for 'everything on it' they forgot to put the mayo or ketchup they said they would.

Most likely the business is just money laundering like other Spanish stores with nothing on...
