Casetta — Restaurant in New York

Cute coffee shop in my neighborhood. The exterior is alluring as the coffee shop looks like it’s built into an apartment. It serves character. However once you step in you are greeted, or rather not greeted by the rudest barista I’ve ever encountered in NYC. I walk in with my dog and nothing. I ask for a cold brew and immediately get hit with the IPad to pay and leave. The coffee is alright, I might need to try their latte at a later date. But overall poor experience. As I was leaving it another patron walked in who seemed to be a regular and he was received with a warm “how’s it going, what do you need”. great matcha but abjectly awful experience with the baristas. like bad even for NYC and terrible for this neighborhood, where most locally owned businesses have pretty warm and neighborly staff. It’s not in the spirit of our area at all to be this bald facedly rude. hope casetta staff can a) be paid more/be offered more benefits to incentivize better service and/or b) leave the holier than thou schtick back in...
