The perfect little spot on quiet street in Williamsburg. Cozy corners, cozy bar, great food, great staff. Can't say more a out this spot. My experience when zi visited Brazil many years back was the amazing people I met. The same is here from thr owner to the staff.
The food is out standing. This is my 4th time here and the most recent after nearly a year and half since I last came by. The Feijoada is outstanding. Flavor filled tender meat, creamy and warm.the collard greens sauteed on garlic are 👌. The little sausage bites on the side is a nice touch. I was told they cook the meat and beans for 8 hours. They use smoked pork. And the oranges give it a nice finish.
The steak sandwich is a hidden gem. Definitely recommend it. The chimichuri they make is fire! And the bread it sits on perefectly crunchy. The meat is really good quality.
The coxinha is perfect. Great size as well.
Beef empanada was really good and their spinach cheese is light and crispy.
Don't miss their cashew caipirinha and their new frozen passion fruit caipirinha is my new summer drink.
Many dishes are shareable. The decor inside is really nicely done and cozy.
Definitely go here for great food and Brazilian vibes. They are going on 16 years. A testament to their success has to be the great food and great staff.
Oh took a flan...
Read moreJust left the place and wish I didn’t come in. Wasn’t greeted on my walk in, waited a little to be seated and just approached the bar worker myself after looking around for a while. I asked for the menu and proceeded to get a coxinha, but I came in for the feijoada, as the waiter asked me if that’s all for me I said no but for now yeah and I’ll keep looking the menu. I ask if the soda was a refill and he did a face that threw me off. And said most places don’t offer refill only if I go to a big restaurant food chain…. First off I didn’t asked to be judged and it was a simple answer of “no we do not but we have can coke” right away he saw I didn’t like the way he replied back to me cuz I told him I was only going to have the coxinhas and nothing else. He then started a conversation and offered me a free coke. Which I took and gladly left the place later. Just not a great experience. You’re there to work and in a nice manner tell me yes or no for the times I ask. No express it with your face and tell me about big food chains. I always ask if there’s a refil cuz as a client it’s a valid question. I could’ve spent another $26 for the feijoada and 1/2 margaritas drinks. With a tip but his attitude made me just eat my coxinhas and go. No wonder why the...
Read moreThe first thing is that when I walked in I asked for the table by the window and the waitress told me no, that table was for three people and she didn't want me and a friend to sit there, but surprise, a while later I see what I'm sitting on a couple at the same table and before we left they sat another couple, could it be because we were hispanic?
The second thing is the bad service, I got tired of getting up to be served and it took more than 15 minutes for them to attend, very bad service, the table that arrived after us and that sat by the window ate first and even left first because they didn't even ask us if we wanted something else and we were waiting for the bill, the food is good but we had a bad time.
In the end I asked the other waitress who was the one who brought us the check I asked her why they denied us the table and the excuse was that they reserve it when they have a full place, but it's a lie because the place was just as full when we arrived than when the first...
