Blue Star Deli & Grill — Restaurant in New York

I never leave a bad review, but this store just bothered me so much this morning. Rude customer service! I had already ordered my sandwiches with the cook so i went to go pay for it at the counter with a 2 liter soda and the clerk was on the phone the whole time just took my money without counting and said thank you and walked away, when he still seen me standing there he said thank you basically telling me to leave, so I told him I ordered two sandwiches which originally was supposed to come out to $2.75 because that’s the prices it shows on the menu and he said “$4.00”, And was waiting for the money, i told him you took my money already. Had he not been on the phone the whole time he would’ve known i already paid for everything but he wasn’t paying attention and wanted me to pay more until i made him check. Finally I leave the store with my food and drink to come home and see my order was wrong. I asked for a bagel with butter toasted... I got back a cold roll with ALOT of butter on top i had to wipe some off and microwave my sandwich because I couldn’t eat it that way. I shouldn’t have to pay so much to go home and reheat my food. Very disappointing. I understand the prices may be high because of the neighborhood we’re in but you can tell this store tax’s so much...

I have been coming here a couple of times a week (work nearby!) since it was recommended to me, and it has become one of my favorite places for coffee, sandwiches, and salads. The coffee is always hot and well made, and every sandwich I have had has been light years beyond what I have closer to home. (I honestly think their sandwiches are better than many of the specialty sandwich places around here.) I've gotten a couple of salads lately (when I realized how often I was eating sandwiches from there) and they are great—"not just for a bodega"; they are always fresh and perfectly balanced, no matter the hour. The guys that work there are always easy-going and it seems like they have a lot of regulars like me...definitely the kind of place I fell in love with I...

Good for convenience, it's the only deli for several blocks. Rather pricey but I guess that's expected. I live close so I'm always in here. Be careful when you order sandwiches or hot food. In 3 years I don't think I've ever got what I ordered. They even have you write your order on a slip and its still wrong. Ordered a sesame bagel with cream cheese this morning and when I got home it was a sausage and egg sandwich. Huh? I was the only one ordering so it wasn't someone else's food. The staff can be nice but I can't understand the disconnect...
